It's truly amazing to me that, even though the police advertise these checkpoints, there are STILL people stupid enough to try and go through them while drunk.

To THOSE people, you MORE that deserve to get caught. To those that WILL manage to get away with driving drunk. It's only a matter of time before you either kill someone else, yourself, or both. I firmly believe that the laws for this crime are MUCH too soft and need to be re-written to be a lot tougher on those that violate them. Far too many time I read about someone that has multiple offenses but yet STILL has a drivers license and is allowed to continue down a path to ruin.

And it makes even easier to slip thrugh the checkpoint when you have a badge. Sad but true.

Listen to me when I say that calling a cab and spending $50 is better than spending time in jail, thousands of dollars in court costs, your license getting taken away..Or better yet, your life. Carpool, get a cab, or celebrate at home. It's not that hard.
