hi again: Do you know this person who claims to have been hurt in war? I mean, personally?
I am assuming so, since you just went off like that. Even if this person is a 'fake', you ought to practice a little self control, man. You're better than that.
But eh, I have never been one to have pity on someone who was hurt in war. Sounds disrespectful, I know. But hey we all make choices. That includes joining the armed forces.
You know what is almost as bad as making things up? Arrogance.
Although I see you post under different names,(think) I always enjoy your posts. You are polite, knowledgeable, respectful, and easy to follow.

pleasure to post with you

your right, i should of caught the fact that he did advertise being over there a bit much. i didnt see him previous posts. i cant believe (actually i can) that people would use him being an injured vet to try and scam money for rent, bills, etc. man does that piss me off!! your right though, he will be judged and be held accountable for his actions. wheather it be God or karma.

my deepest condolences to you and your family for losing loved ones. its a tramatic event to go thru no matter how a person loses a loved one. im sure you have support at home but if you ever need know.

thanks for opening my eyes to that scam. here i thought people would just try to run pill scams. i never NEVER thought someone would try and use being an injured vet as a scam. ill definately keep an eye open for that now i know what to look for.

thanks for the heads up bud. you take it easy and i hope your your little bro gets stationed somewhere safe. hopefully away from any of the hard action.
post ya later.

Hey Metal, Whats Up! I too was a vet, and was introduced to pain meds, following an injury.
No, Im not an addict, but Ive become physically dependant, on a few. I was NOT combat related, and they turnedme out, following the injury, and I didnt even know about withdrawal. I didnt have a refill, just a script, that ran out, and then the inevitable.1980, and its hurt on and off ever since, In 1996 was finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia.Since then ptsd, related to Non-combat military experience.THAT, the PTSD, makes ya want to numb EVERYTHING.Nothing does, tho.
Nope, didnt get scd. Whomever said lifes supposed to be fair, was wrong. Its not, you live , learn, and go on.Best you can, and thank your lucky stars, you werent combat, or something worse. Thers ALWAYS somebody, with a tougher life, circumstances. It COULD, always be worse. Sh*t happens.Life goes on, with scars or w/out, but it goes on. Acclimate or get run over by those that do. You know how I hate to correct seniors...but it's actually 3 years ago.

I was wondering why I didn't recognize any of the posters. It's right around the time that I started posting here.

I have a habit of losing track of time, 2 years, 5 years, they all start to run together. I get really curious though about what became of these people, especially the military guys that had the misfortunes thrown on them, and then left hung to dry to figure it out themselves afterwards.
I'd prefer not to speculate on that.

Unfortunately, I've heard way to many horror stories that ended badly.

Thats kinda what I'm afraid of. I might not want to know whats become of some of them. I can only imagine some of it. I feel like I've had a world of problems without having parts of me blown off by land mines in the road. Or live with having watched it happen to my buddies.

Your best course of action is to speak with your doctor and have them refer you to a reputable suboxone treatment doctor.

Having your own doctor in the loop is a good thing, if you truly plan on quitting.

I have ordered prescription drugs from ZTOPIX dot COM about two years ago, and was pleased with the speed and quality of service.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my medication. The meds is expensive, but there is a generic version available overseas.
I love the idea of taking responsibility for my own health (or lack of health) and skipping the bureaucracy... to say nothing of having to drive to the doctor, wait in line, yet again, to get a prescription refilled.

Many pharmsist have education but not 'street smart.' People forge and even make Rx. Some call in to large pharmices posing as a MD, RN and using their DEA #. The MO is to take a real Rx, whiteout everything, then make blank copies. Then a little latin is all they need;ie
Rx:John Doe
Alprazolam 2mg
po tid
5 refills.
Pharmacies and all Pht should call/fax to verify all controlled meds.

re: to self;
the person trying to pass a 'dirty script' will watch you(the pharmist) to see if you get on the phone. Call from the back and neer tell the addict it will be eady in 20 minutes. They will hall azz, know you just dialed 911. Good Luck
