Bioguard is by far one of the most deceitful companies in existence. I would know because I was a technician working for Bioguard over the summer. The salesmen had no shame and misled customers relentlessly. They would go into trailer parks and tell people who spoke little to no English and tell them they would take care of their bugs for just $25 for the whole summer. Little did these people know that they had signed up for a two year contract with a "$25" initial service followed by nine more services at $91 each. The management didn't seem to really care when I approached them with this problem. And not to mention, their chemicals never worked. I would speak with customers again and again and none of them were satisfied with their service. This company is a sham.

RIP OFF ALERT!!! They lie steal and cheat. They stole my money. The spray does not work and the customer service sucks. They are in the business of ripping people off. They made me pay the whole cancellation fee even though the ants are still in my house. They steal your money and cant believe they are still in business. Tell all your friends and family to BEWARE

Do not fall for these guys. Any company that has To go door to door without an appointment is one you should turn away until you have a chance to do proper research on first! I'm sad to say I fell for their scam. The sales man said anything he had to in order for me to sign what I thought was a one time service. He came to my side door when i didnt answer the front door and even discounted the service 75% because I told him I couldn't afford them. He ignored that fact that I wasn't the best candidate and flirted with me and pressured me into trying their service. It was dinner time and my kids were getting restless so I finally signed to get him to leave. He didn't explain what I was signing and even rushed me since it was getting late and they said I was their last service for the day. When I found out I was on a 10 visit commitment I was furious and called the office, they said they weren't responsible for anything their salesmen said or did, they had my signature so they would charge me 10 services on my card on file or I would have to pay $400 to cancel. They have very bad and dishonest business practices. Save a headache, go buy your own pest control from Lowes or Home Depot it is much cheaper and easy to do.
I would love to talk to you about your concerns. If you were misled in anyway you would not be required to keep the service.
Generally our sales representatives are very thorough and clear, but we realize that there can be misunderstandings and confusion. Normally any customers brought to us by a sales rep will receive a phone call from our office before the initial service. During this call we will confirm the info and verify that the customer understands the price, schedule and all the pest covered in our warranty.
We provide a great service and we will gladly return for any reason at no charge. I apologize for any frustration or regret that this has caused and I would like to make it right if possible.
Please call and ask for the extension #206. We would love to get this resolved and keep you as a happy customer if possible. Thank you.

First of all, we did not employ a technician named John during the past year. If you are a disgruntled employee I would love to address your concerns without damaging the company's image.
Second of all, BioGuard provides a great service. We have thousands of customer testimonials and though we are not perfect, we work very hard to always improve.
If anything written above is true; if sales reps were misleading or misrepresenting in any way, we would have discovered it during the confirmation call and the sales rep would have been terminated. We don't put up with anything that would mislead or upset our potential consumers. If any of our customers feel similarly or feel like we could do more or do better, please contact us asap. We will do everything possible to either exceed your expectation or adjust our program in some other way to fulfill you particular needs.
As far as our products; we use the best products in the industry. Having said that, occasionally we have to return more than once for more difficult problems. Regardless, we are happy to return for any reason, anytime, and at no charge. See our "Re-service Guarantee" at our website www.bioguardpestcontrol.com

We would love to discuss these concerns.
It sounds like you already canceled the service but I'm interested if you knew about our Guarantees. We have a "Re-service Guarantee" which states that if there is ever a problem that arises between our regularly scheduled serviced we will return at no cost to fix the problem and apply a new or different application. This is something that occasionally is required.
We also have a "Money-back Guarantee" which shows the confidence we have in our service. We want to get your pest controlled as soon as possible but if it takes longer than expected, we will start giving money back for the inconvenience and we will keep coming for free till the problem is resolved.
If possible I would like you to consider giving us one more chance to get your pest situation taken care of. I'm confident that in time we will win back your confidence and you will see that we live to make our customers happy and satisfied. If you come back, I will do our service for our cost and personally oversee your account.
Thanks,
Matt Ivy

3 things everyone should know:
1. GREEN SERVICE: The completely green service they provide is only provided if you specifically ask for it. Their website used to say this had to be performed monthly and was more expensive. Now they only provide it if you ask for it and it doesn't cost more. When you discover this and call to ask why they weren't providing their Green Service they respond by saying some customers don't like the strong smell, which may be true, but if I call a company called BioGuard and read about how they offer a green service and don't see other options, I'm going to assume I'm getting the green service unless otherwise noted. I asked them to spray wasps and they pulled out a can of wasp spray that I had personally purchased for $2 and sprayed the nest with it. It's the usual harmful stuff I was trying to get away from.
2. 30 DAY WRITTEN NOTICE TO CANCEL: Once your contract is up, they've also included a clause in the contract that says you have to cancel in writing 30 days in advance. I just called to cancel 7 days in advance and they told me there is no way, it's in my contract. I was not aware of this.
3. ECOSMART PRODUCTS USED CAN BE PURCHASED MUCH CHEAPER: Most of the techs that apply their products don't apply according to instructions (some much less). They use EcoSmart products that you can buy for MUCH cheaper at Home Depot and apply yourself. EcoSmarts instructions indicate much more product should be applied and more regularly, especially after rain since it is more natural.

I've had the 5+ services performed as was required in my contract, and I'm canceling my service, after I'm forced to pay $96 for 1 more according to the 30 day written notice requirement as hidden in the contract of course, and will never use their services again. Instead I will seek an honest upfront company for which I would gladly support and even pay more for.

Where would I find the "thousands of customer testimonials" that you speak of? According to this response if you discover a misleading sales rep they will be terminated? Who does the terminating?

I have nothing but good Service for the last 3 yrs from the Virginia Beach branch of Bioguard. They never charge me for a reservice or for getting the spider webs down off the House. Been a Customer since early 2010 and I can't think of any problems I have had at all with. Had a different local company before, had nothing but problems. With Bioguard though, I am happy and I will remain a customer for a long time!

Bio guard is a great company. I had a Bad Roach problem, they got rid of my problem but not only that they inform me I had a water leak in my crawl. The roach problem was because of the leak. They also gave me a nice price for a moisture barrier. I am very happy with everything including the spider webs on my house. Thanks Bioguard in virgina.

CORRUPT! CORRUPT! CORRUPT! The head members of management of this company are notorious in the sales industry for being dishonest and greedy. They have been known to cheat their own employees out of their salaries, thus giving the company the highest turnover rate in the industry. If they betray their own employees what level of dignity can you expect them to show toward their customers? BioGuard and D1sales are the companies that give the sales industry a bad name.

Called because I saw a rat on our porch. They put out traps and have yet to catch one. It is three months later. I heard something in the wall called numerous times to have tech come out. They never showed. Finally called manager and tech came out. He said yes we have roof rats in our attic now. He then said someone else would come out. Well they did and tech said traps do not work. Now want to charge me 10,000 to remove insulation and replace all vents under house. Horrible service, huge rip off, please please do not sign up with them.
