Va. Beach arena would open in 2014, generate $98 million in first year
A proposed 18,500-seat arena at the Va. Beach Oceanfront would have $98 million in economic impact in its first year and create 1,200 new jobs, according to a study released by Comcast-Spectacor, Live Nation and HKS Inc.

I hope we have a professional sports team in virginia beach, it will deffinately help the economy here in the hampton roads

The Hampton Roads area will never support a major sports team. Most of the residents are military transients or retirees who support the team from their original hometown.
