I hope he is with God and that his family discovers how to live without all the answers to thier questions, and may God be with them as well.

thanks a lot for scaring the crap out of all of us who know people in the Border Patrol. Hopefully this will be updated as quickly as possible once the respective family has been notified.

Thank you for saying this. So many people out there are so quick to judge. May god bless this agent and his family. And to the person that said thank you for not telling us the agent's name. You're so right. I have two agents in my family and when I hear of something happening to an agent I freeze with fear of it being my husband or nephew.

For all those that listen to rumors, step up to the plate and fill his shoes! They suffer from PTSD just as much as anyone who is in the military, it does not only apply to soldiers. People from all walks of life suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Lighten up, and until you know the facts, don't spread the rumor!

Not exactly what I wanted to see when I was looking at the ep times online...I spent many years at that station and now I wait to hear who it is. As I have been gone for a couple of years, I may not have ever met this individual, but that doesn't lessen the tragidy of it all. Vaya Con Dios!!

You make it sound so simple. Why don't you try walking a mile in their shoes?? They are under enormous amount of stress and for every single move they make they are deeply scrutinized. And, on top of all that many of our agents have spouses that aren't very understanding. They don't take into consideration how stressful their job is. When they get home all they do is whine about them not being home, sleeping all the time, etc. They feel threatened because they work with partners of the opposite sex. Many of the families don't realize that while we're at home sleeping our regular nighttime hours, our agents are out there keeping us safe. Yet, the phones and doorbells keep ringing. I have our bedroom room pitch black. You can walk into our bedroom in the middle of the day and if you don't turn the light on, you can walk into something. I do this so that he can sleep as much as he possibly can. For many of our agents 12 noon is their midnight.
So yes they do have a lot of stress, many can deal with it, but some of them just simply get fed up. And if you think taking their lives is the easy way out, try walking in their shoes. Try busting your a** in the heat, with illegal aliens that bring disease, with mgmnt that doesn't acknowledge your hard work and then not being appreciated by your communities nor understood by your families. Taking ones live is not the solution, unfortunately they don't seek help. Maybe they see it as a weakness to go to counseling.
Don't judge our agents. Pray for them. I'm so happy that my husband is coming up on retirement. BP has put food on our table and has provided for us very well, but the change will be good.
God bless this agent and his family.

Amen brother.

I hope God does give his family strength and peace. As for the agent and everyone saying "via con Dios" and "May he rest in piece" need to realize he committed an unforgivable sin (even if he practices Islam, cause I know someone bound to bring that up). I have family members and friends that are BP agents and I know they are stressed and that's why as family and friends we should be there to help them out, but there's not much anyone can do when someone is willing to take matters in to their own hands. Does the DHS have programs and resources to combat stress and "PTSD"?

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Capricorn

With dark Pluto under pressure in your sign, this rather grave mood has been colored by the current state of a relationship. It isn't going as well as you would like, probably because you're feeling distanced. It's an inward-looking phase, full of obstructions, but best not to worry about things that might never happen, nor to stew about problems that are little more than ancient history. It's the festive season, so raise the cup of kindness and help those less fortunate than yourself.
