So basically he's saying the mission in Iraq is over, but it's not really over.

How about we GET THE ----OUT of both Iraq and Afghanistan? Now that would be some real CHANGE. How much money do we have to burn and how much blood do we have to spill before these idiots see we failed the pointless war?

Please stop showing Obama in a positive light. Bush should have been there to welcome them back - not OBAMA. He had NOTHING to do with this victory. If Obama were president during 911 - he would have deceived America into thinking that 911 was a muslim act of love and we should accept the muslims in our country because of the Muslim's RIGHT to be who and what they are.

Obama go back where you came from - the Middle East.

Bush is not president anymore, so it was right for the current president to welcome them back, considering little bush was trying to pick up where father bush left off. So freedom, why don't you run for president?

Finally an end to Bush's failed war. President Obama is not going to take any credit for the mistakes of the previous administration. The blood of hundreds of thousands of people is on the hands of George W. Bush. Let alone the failure to stop the planes when they attacked on September 11, 2001 where over 3000 people died due to his criminal negligence. When he croaks, Maybe Ronnie Ray-Gun will save a cool spot for him in the devils home.

Hail to our brave military and their great service! It is nice to hear news where President Obama is declaring an end to U.S. combat. But the question remains: will there be much more fighting in Iraq after today? I also must say that I am very dissappointed that President Obama did not support the 2007 surge, in which it worked. Personally, I am very unconfident of what the President is doing with regard to defense, border security and national security.
God bless and comfort our troops.

There have been many failed wars during the history of the world. Obama is only gong to take credit for anything good that happens in this country...and oh what a shock...that would be NOTHING! Bush could not have stopped the planes on that fateful day and to place the blame on him is so utterly ridiculous...I believe it was under Clinton's watch that the whole thing started to come about and THEY knew then something had to be done but I didn't see any of them dong a thing - nope - typical pass the buck. So it was Bush who ended up having to take on the failure of the prior administration. Believe me, I don't think Bush was this almight president...by far, he was not...however, the CHANGE Obama promissed...no thanks...I'm worse off now then I was two years ago....I guess after Obama's term, the next president can pass on taking credit for Obama's major failures!

Bush didn't do anything but turn Iraq into a shathole. The Iraq war was a failure. Anybody who died in it lost their lives for nothing. They weren't protecting OUR FREEDOM. Let's just be honest.

Obama isn't much better than Bush, but at least he ended one out of the two dumb wars.

I think it's all CRAZY we are losing to many people. My step brother was killed in a road side bombing yesterday. He died a HERO for what a war we shouldn't be in. Now we lost him forever.. and what did our government lose? Another soldier. one of many. Kevin was a husband, a new father, a son, a brother and a friend. Sad very sad

Turn the page on what? Our current leader hasn't done anything to make me believe he can even read, but I forgot about the ever present teleprompter.
Let's pray that we're all alive at the end of this fiasco and get someone with some idea of what's going on in the world.

Coni Rice, under testimony, testified that George W. Bush was handed a memo that said that terrorist were going to use planes to attack the USA. He tossed that memo away and did nothing! Bush ignored terrorism. Three thousand plus people paid for it with their lives!

Thank god the Iraq war is over!(: I was wondering when it's going to end. But we still have the Afghanistan war. God Bless to all the American soliders and their families for who fought in our Iraq war!
