<![CDATA[* Nathaniel M. Wilcox, 36, of the 200 block of N. Laurel Street in Bridgeton, was arrested Friday at 2:08 p.m. on charges of failure to appear at Hamilton Twp. court. Bail was set at $1,510. * Willie D. Ford, 47, of the 200 block of N. Laurel Street in Bridgeton, was arrested Friday at 5:23 p.m. on charges of failure to appear at Bridgeton court, as well as one charge of not paying child support. Bail was set at $20,365. * Adulfo Diaz, 29, of the 300 block of Bellvue Ave. in Hammonton, was arrested Friday at 6:52 p.m. on charges of simple assault. Suspect was placed on $2,500 bail. * Robert Willingham, 45, of the 200 block of South Ave. in Bridgeton, was arrested Friday at 5:15 p.m. on charges of failure to appear at Bridgeton court, as well as two counts of failure to appear at Upper Deerfield court. Bail was set at $1,238. * Tyrone Corley, 25, of Longview Dr. in Bridgeton, was arrested Saturday at 6:18 a.m. on charges of simple assault. * Tonette M. Govan, 30, of the 200 block of South Orchard Rd. in Vineland, was arrested Saturday at 4:08 p.m. on charges of failure to appear at Bridgeton court. Suspect posted $750 bail. * John W. Fortune, 58, of the 50 block of Elmer Street in Bridgeton, was arrested Saturday at 10:05 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct after police found the suspect pounding on the door of his home and shouting profanities. * Renee M. Riley, 29, of the 700 block of E. Main Street in Millville, was arrested Saturday at 11:42 p.m. and charged with hindering apprehension; multiple charges of failure to appear at Bridgeton court, Millville court, Vineland court, Franklinville court and Washington twp. court. Suspect was taken to county jail and placed on $14,326 bail. * Latif D. Gault, 29, of the 300 block of Cohansey Street in Bridgeton, was arrested Sunday at 4:05 a.m. and charged with three counts of failure to pay child support. Bail was set at $25,088. * On Friday at 1:48 p.m., a resident of the 1st block of Rogers Ave. reported a burglary. The resident returned home to find the rear door had been forced open and two bedrooms ransacked. Items reported missing include a gold ring, a Nintendo system and an undisclosed amount of money. * On Friday at 3:56 p.m., a resident of State Street reported a burglary. The resident returned home to find the interior basement door forced in and the basement window damaged. Resident reported nothing inside was taken. Damage was about $100. * On Friday at 4:15 p.m., a resident of the 1st block of Cedarbrook Ave. reported a burglary. The resident returned home to find the side door open, and reported the five Xbox video game discs missing. * Police are investigating shots fired through the window of a residence on Ellis Street. No one inside the home was injured. The bullet passed through the front window, a TV just inside the home and stopped in an interior wall where police recovered same.

I remember way back when Bridgeton was a nice little town and a decent area to live. Like many other parts of the state those days are long gone.
