Hey Chin, I think you need to brush up on something. " Saved democracy " , democracy is a form of government that both US and Germany have and had during WW2. Also both had capitalism as the economic system at the time. US entered the war late of 1941. UK was already at war, we won so it should read " Saved monarchy ". I assume you know that our country shed blood to free ourselves from the King.
So when I read and the first thing is wrong then I do not waste my time reading the rest of lies.

This Kronlund guy is a hoot. He lives not more than five or six miles from my parents.

What the story didn't tell you is that he use to have a yearly fly in on his property dedicated to WWII and other military aircraft. As I recall none of the heavy bombers made an appearance on the small grass airfield, but he did have some Vietnam era MiGs make a flyby and do their thing. Pretty cool for a small town.

Did I mention that it was free and Kronlund didn't charge a cent?

Of course the lawyers and insurance made sure it became too expensive to put on the show and ruined it for everyone, but that's another rant for another thread.

If you are north Spooner on a weekend, you might be lucky enough to catch Kronlund flying around with his buddies in their WWII trainers.

Always a treat for the kids, big and small.

@Smarta$$
Too bad you didn't read the rest of the story, but instead came here to post about how inaccurate it is.

Since probably 75% of the people in the US think we live in a Democracy and not a Constitutional Republic, maybe your fight aught to start there.

Once you get past that flub, it's actually a pretty cool story.

Cool story for once in the Press.

Great job Mr. Reporter for finding and doing the story. I did not read who it was. Let me guess who it was NOT......Ruben?

It would be a fun afternoon to stroll through the barn and look at all that stuff and climb around it.

Great job and great story. Unlike the others arguing semantics, I appreciate people like Mr. Kronlund who take the time and money to restore vital equipment used to defeat the Axis in World War II.

I really appreciated the story, brought back a lot of memories.
My assigned vehicle was a 2.5 ton (duece and a half) shop truck full of electronic test gear. Our section also used the Battery commanders jeep for many "errands". It was fun to drive.

I hope he has made plans for when he is gone so that these pieces of history will continue to be displayed to people.

A reminder of a time when most of the American people came together as one and showed the world what America was capable of achieving when Americans put their mind to it.

Smartass?- you have aptly named yourself. Your comments reveal that your a** is the only thing smart about you. It certainly isn't your intellect.

Pretty incredible, right? And not only is Kevin's collection fantastic, but he is an incredibly generous and self-effacing guy. As a fellow collector and club member, I am awed by the former and impressed by the latter. And his point about honoring the memory of the veterans and preserving the vehicles as a way of doing so is truly what it is all about. It is his--and our--way of working to ensure that such critical and powerful memories will always survive.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Virgo

Mercury is turning retrograde at just the right time, because it's telling you to consider the validity of your long-term aims and aspirations. If they stand about as much chance of seeing the light of day as you do of winning the Lottery, then you need to streamline them or even abandon them and start again. So think about what you want from life and how you're going to get it. Children and romance may be quite erratic during this phase.
