I won't stray from the topic, so we can discuss that at a later date if you want...I too, believe that every american has the right to do whatever they please.. Which includes my right to bitch about the damn liquor stores that within a few years will probably overrun this town, and make Etown just another shitty town.... Yeah because Nazi's are so liberal......

This topic is moot because the Indians are buying it. They also own the E=town Discount Liquor Store. So the Chicken Coop will not get any better, just dirtier and the service will be terrible.

And the restaurant that didn't make it behind the hotels that they turned into a Mexican restaurant. I prefer Mexicans cook my Mexican food. And Trino's, which recently had a suspicious fire. I prefer Italians cook my Italian food. Namaste moved but won't make it. They are unfriendly and unclean.

I don't know of a mexican resteraunt behind the hotels downtown? Are you referring to the hotels off of Mulberry? Those aren't that bad, go to the Budget, Roadside Inn, Commonwealth Lodge off of East Dixie. They are NASTY! It's a shame that those are the places that the people coming off of North Bound I -65 will will see first.... ewwwww!!!! If E-town really wants downtown to be an attraction, they MUST do something about these places. They are nothing but a place for the nastiest of people, and I know that people rent the rooms to make meth!

Rite aid is the cheapest place to buy booze in the state when they put it on sale. Rite aid is also a giant company with hundreds of locations and is buying at a much lower price than most of the local liquor stores. Etown is starting to look like little india.

Well here's a thought for all of you who think you're "in the know"...we scan ID's because the state of KY has us as a test site for this sort of thing. Looks like it may happen all over within the next year so get used to it and get over it! As for the name, it came from people who worked on the store before we opened. Hard to tell someone 614 East Dixie when it is really going north and south. It's the old Lee's Chicken place and everyone called it the Chicken Coop so the name stuck. At least we're not that arrogant JohnO and their over priced stuff. Don't believe it then check it out for yourself. As for the "Indians", NO THEY ARE NOT BUYING US OUT!!!!!!!! Some more BS floated around about us. Here's the thing, we're small and customer focused. No we don't have everything but no one has. We will bring in something special for any customer. All you have to do is ask. Try that at Rite Aid or Kroger. Anyhow if you are so prejudice that you think you're to good to come here then don't. My employees are not and I'd prefer my customers not be as well. Have a problem...come see me and we'll talk. If all you can do is hide here and write about it them.......... GR

we also have samplings each week. Mainly Kentucky wines right now as our customers from Cecilia, North E'town, Hodgenville and Ft Knox have requested. So come by, no we're not as cheap as Rite Aid but we have a bigger selection. Keep it Local.

I don't see any purpose in this whole thread. Smh...there's a liquor store there and.....so what? Does it really matter. I happen to like the place and could care less if it was where it is or down the street. Who cares?
