This is the most moranic idea I have ever heard of. Apparently, the city of ETOWN is beginning to show its greedy face. I live in the county, I do not want additional taxes to support the idiotic city of ETOWN, and its people. We the people have to vote on this. Just look at Louisville, the old city voted in the new Mayor, why the County voters wanted the loser. The city wants all the countys income, which will give the citizens in the county little or no say so. ETOWN is loaded with GREED. It has never had an honest government.

I think it would eliminate WASTE! Cut down on the number of Chiefs. Fewer elections. Makes sense to me.

I've heard of and researched this idea, as it was brought up many years ago as well....it WOULD be a good idea and the sooner the better. Now, would best!! Without going into long, drawn out details, facts and stats, there would be significantly more pros than cons, and the cons would be ironed out by the will of voters.....

Placing Ft. Knox, directly squared up beside the political fervor in Elizabethtown, Sonora, Glendale, and Muldraugh plus surrounding areas in the Hardin County complexus would be the most inspiring and safeguarded thing to do for all people of this neck of the commonwealth of the state of kentucky in the united states of america, never again have the audacity to say to us people of coulor that usa stood for the union of south africa, where the makers of the young Harry Potter, JJ K Tolklein was an uninspired Angglo Saxon hiding out in the Cape of Good Hope., who would not have traveled all the way there to find the one place in the Union of South Africa of the compatibility in electicons called Port Elizabeth, Port Lossotho, swizerland, in the cape of good hope. how did mr. silly mandella and cynthia madella get to judge the great woman name d Sam I Am at the Ky. Harvest Roundup of 1993, with her boyfriend Nelson, who was imprisoned in his ouwn country in exchange for what or whom there for over 27 years a prisoner in his own country? Talk about prisoner exchanges in current real time ..Kan or Kain't talk, to or about little Harry Wonderling? Digup turnuptials, Paw?

yeah if you live in etown or radcliff it sounds like a great idea and for those people it is but for the rest of the cities it will be the opposite of helpful. They'll get less money and less say in what happens.

A good idea if it goes through, but who wants to give up their power to a group of city power brokers. If a city and county join togeather "ALL" government depts. police, sheriff, roads and maintenance, etc,it will balance out any taxes. I would hope its considered possitively. Everyone needs more info before the plan is killed by the closed minded and misinformed.

Looks like they're preparing you to become part of the 'One World Governmant'. Make seem a good idea to give yourself to a larger, regional governing body and you won't even notice when you're not an American anymore.

Do you want your kids from one side of county on a bus for 3 hours a day going to the other side and back?(With merger), They could do that, if they think there are too many students in one school and not enough in another. Do you want the folks from E-town, R-Cliff and V-Grove voting in wet for the whole county? Are you ready for this? Think about it.

E-town is already sucking the marrow out of Radclif. What do you think will happen to the rest of the county. E-town is all about its self.

This BRAC SCANDAL is going to put a cogg in the machine of Hardin County Judge Executive Harry Berry and Fiscal Court's wishes of County Merger. This Scandal exposure to come might get Frankfort and Washington D.C. attention. You don't mess over the Military Personell and other citizens who reside in Rineyville KY.

HCS can bus now. And the folks in VG, Radcliff and E-town CAN vote in a county wet/dry election if there is one...already. That's not what merger's about.

its more about control than it is money. when laws are passed for property owners living in very close quarters,it will also apply to people in the county that are alot more spread apart....dog ordinances, firing weapons, growing food, having farm animals...ect.
do some research on agenda 21, or sustainable development, and you will began to understand that there is alot more to this idiotic merger than you first thought. im with you!
