<quoted text>So what your saying is all I have to do is sit on a hard wooden pew every Sunday and say that I believe in Christ who died for my sins but yet not take any action. What can I just go around and continue to lie, cheat, steal, fornicate with married folk and still I will go to heaven. Well hell yes I will become a Christian where do I sign up. Don't have to make any changes, sit on a hard wooden pew once a week and I am magically saved.
It's called REPENTANCE . Look up the word.

I noted last night that the minister of First Baptist Church/ Dallas and a Catholic priest who often appears on Fox addressed Bill O'Reilly's book KILLING JESUS. Both agreed if one can read that book and not believe according to the in depth documentation of witnesses from the time, then one has NO intention of accepting Christ. For your own satisfaction, might be willing to read it. THEN respond. Evidently there is NO argument to dispute what it says. GO for it! Otherwise, I feel your refusal speaks volumes.

No, when you REPENT, you turn away from your sin. ONGOING lifestyle of what you are describing is NOT repenting. If you would ever go to church, you would completely understand. You are purposefully going in circles. READ the book.

Repentance: Deep Sorrow or contrition for a past sin or wrong doing, regret for any past actions. So according to you I would have to take a different course of action in order to be repentant? Kinda sounds to me that actions would be enough to be entitled to gods grace and mercy. Going to church does not a Christian make its how you live that God is looking at, not what you say its what you do.

May note the article in the paper about the students' participation in Prayer around the Pole. They get it. That's why we have "Youth Groups" in our churches. Lying in bed on Sunday morning -- being in church doesn't provide repentance, but our minds and hearts are on Jesus. There is NOTHING we can do -- Christ did it for us on the cross. However, in our daily living we should glorify Him in what we do.

That's what I am talking about, its how you live, ie what you do, your actions not words.

ACTIONS do not get you to heaven. One cannot work himself to heaven, ever be GOOD enough (actions) to make it. Much more to it. If that were the case, most of us would be doomed. However, we do accept Christ and because of that, we want to glorify Him in whatever we do. Therefore, the would include gathering for worship on Sunday.

I disagree one does work themselves to heaven although I don't agree that there is a heaven or hell my point is anybody can say they believe but if their actions, how they live doesn't match what they say nothing is different. Most of us are doomed anyway because they profess to believe but their actions are very opposite of what they say. Going to church on Sunday doesn't get you a free pass to heaven.

Has he discovered new witnesses? Or is he just presenting the same old failures of proof?

While there is a reasonable amount of evidence supporting the existence of a man named "Jesus", there is NO evidence outside the biased and HEAVILY edited reports of his followers. There is no outside corroboration of ANY miracles.

The Bible says that you are a liar. Without following the Laws, you will not get into Heaven, regardless of what you profess to believe. For those times when you fall a little short (sin) all that is required is your SINCERE repentance.

Worshiping a false god like Jesus will not do you any good, since it is blasphemy - a MAJOR sin.

James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
2:22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

You are approaching the Scripture in a totally inappropriate manner. If you refuse to go to church, I don't know what else to say to you. About three or four of you are totally confused -- know enough to be dangerous. SATAN can quote scripture as he needed to in his attempt to tempt Christ. He also acknowledged Christ, but what did he do with Him?

Satan is a myth. He is not part of the Bible.

I approach the Bible with a willingness to accept that it says what it says. What it says is that xianity is blasphemy, Jesus is a false god, and Paul was a false prophet who led people AWAY from the God of the Bible.

>>I<< am not confused in the least.

'I am the Way, the Truth, the Light. No man cometh to the Father except through me.' Now, you have to accept Christ. You are trying to imply that what we DO is what gets us to heaven. NOTHING we can do (not works lest we should boast), but what Christ did for us on the cross. Your response is irrelevant to your personal decision. I know mine.
I like how you use a passage about not boosting about works after you spent several days haranguing me for not attending Church every Sunday.

Did someone finally have a talk with their minister like I suggested?

So it IS about living by your rules, or the rules of Christ as you are so kind to interpret them for us.

Gee thanks ever so much.

Oh put a sock in it already.

You DARE say that quoting Scripture (and not sating what it's SUPPOSED TO mean) is inappropriate?

You're a hoot!
