I work at longhorn and have since they opened. I've had a handful of guests have some issues, but nothing that wasn't fixed. I've never had a stressful table, I've never had any guests complain about the service. People taste things different. Guests don't go back into the kitchen. That's where all the stress is. People who have never served have no idea how hard it is. Most guests don't realize that not only are they looking after you, but they are also looking after 6+ tables! We try and we try our hardest. We have wonderful teamwork and mostly everyone that works there have become friends. This is my favorite job I've had and I make a lot of money because I'm a good server. If you have a problem, say it while you're there! Don't wait until you get home and want to post your hate on a website. A lot of people don't like the seasonings we put on the steak. That's when I recommend to have no seasoning on their steak, light seasoning or even put it on the side. The problems can be fixed. If you're not mature enough to understand that it's a job and no one can be 100% perfect and that servers ARE PEOPLE TOO, then you don't deserve a good meal being served to you by hard working people making $2.15 an hour. You have no idea what it feels like to have a good table, they loved their food, complimented on the service, and leaves without tipping. Some people just don't tip. IT'S FOOD. We're not building you a house. It's food. And if food is that informant to you that you need to post all your hate on the Internet because you had a bad experience, you've got issues. If you've had multiple issues, DONT GO BACK! it's as simple as that. We have regulars that come in all the time. We don't make you come back and waste your money on food you already know you don't like. I understand if you're just trying to give it another chane, but if it fails, get over it and go back to roadhouse or O'charleys. Like I said, we do have a great team there and we try really hard because the guests are how we make our money. If we forget about you, it's not on purpose, it's probably because our 5 other tables keep asking for refills or bread, or anything. We tulitask like crazy. Give us a break!
I would have to think that food IS that important. And the highest priced steak house in the city BETTER be the best at service, food prep, presentation...everything. I also think that standing up front sipping soda doesnt sound like a team that is working as hard as possible to provide a great dining experience. I quoted your entry here in an email to Longhorn corporate and they seemed to disagree with your opinion of if we don't like it, we can take it somewhere else.

Tried it twice, once with large group and once as a couple. Both times overpriced for portions, poor service, food different temperatures, probably because some sat while others were prepared and oders were incomplete. The only place worse is Red Lobster. Fooled me once, shame on you, fooled me twice, shame on me, no third time. Thank goodness for Coltons and Texas Roadhouse!

LSH isn't a local business. They are a chain, and only a small amount of the money stays in the area. People would do far better to go to one of the locally owned restaurants. Especially if they don't like the food at the chain.

I also want to say that it is perfectly reasonable to write a restaurant review online. While I won't necessarily trust this specific site, the anonymous nature of it lets anyone write multiple reviews, I often look at online restaurant guides, and sites like Louisville HotBytes to find out what restaurants are worthy of my money so I won't risk going to a bad place and wasting my hard earned luxury money.

And I also review restaurants, often on here with this one profile. I haven't tried this chain, but from the sound of things I will probably stick with Little Rick's, or go out to Louisville, for my steak.

I went there the other night. I was very impressed with the food and service. Not so much the prices but oh well. If you want quality you gotta pay for it. If you don't agree take your ass to Burger King and you can have it your way.

That is absolutely correct! I am perfectly content to spend 30-40 dollars for myself only if the food is good. With that said, I am skeptical about casual dining restaurants as a rule. So many chain restaurant's aren't as good as smaller places, even if they are cheaper. And, so many of those places are filled with drunken yuppies cheering about sports way too loudly (not sure if that is an issue there).

I love Longhorn Steakhouse. Haven't had any issues there as of yet.

Although, I'm probably one of the few on here NOT trying to bitch about something.

Haha. American fatasses have a site to complain on about food they get served to by other people, to their faces as they sit and play on their phones and iPads. Spoiled, ungrateful people. Ooooh I'm taking this to corporate because I have nothing better to do than complain about food. :p jeeze, people nowadays amaze me.
