I went to Longhorn Steak House in Elizabethtown KY last night. It was so disappointing that I felt that I must share. The steak was perfectly cooked but had no taste at all. The baked potato also had no taste. Okay, everyone is thinking it is a tastebud issue. Nope! This is the third time that I have been there. All three times were the same result. Each time I was there I ordered something different from the last thinking that it was the item that was the problem. I had to put A-1 on ALL of the food just so I cpuld taste something. My adult son who was dining with us also had the same observation about his meal. I don't think I will be giving them a fourth chance.

Went there with my family for my birthday. Im not one to usually complain, we just enjoy the time away and break from having to cook. It was a weekday night, we walked in and only waited about 10 minutes to eat for a family of 6. we waited an HOUR AND A HALF for our food. I complained about every 15 minutes as I saw the waitress walk by.....each time she would pass our table she would say, "Ill go check on your food" and then just didnt return. My kids were bored and starving, and we watched groups come in, be seated and leave while still waiting. When we finally got our food, my husbands and sons steak was barely warm...meaning it had been setting while they forgot the rest of our order. I never got my rice....I asked several times as the waitress would walk by, "uhmmmm I ordered rice for a side" Getting Ill be right back with it...and NOTHING...I gave up. FINALLY OUT OF PURE FRUSTRATION, I asked for the manager. He apologized but at this point nothing would have made this crappy birthday experience decent. He gave us 20% off our bill but for 20 dollars plus per entree, i dont think it was tooooo much to ask for it to be warm or at least have all the items we ordered. Not willing to try again.

Agreed the food is way over priced and not that tasty at all, i have been 3 times and wasn't impressed with any of the 3. I prefer texas roadhouse and coltons myself, they have excellent steak and prices!

It's definately the one in Elizabethtown that has the problem.

I ate at the longhorns in both E-town and the one off the outer loop by Brooks and the one in brooks was fantastic.

The one in etown - the service sucks and the food tastes horrible.

The first 2 times I ate there it was good. The 3rd it was terrible. We both got filets and they were stringy and tasted bad. All the employees stand at the front desk talking and sipping sodas and they ignore the customers when they come in. If Longhorn would do well, we would have a chance of getting an Olive Garden. But the way they are running the place, I am thinking they won't bring one in. (Same company owns Longhorn, Red Lobster, and Olive Garden).

Have you all ever thought of just going to Kroger, purchase some filet mignons and cooking them at home? Much less expensive, and great taste. Takes all of about 15 minutes to grill..........

I work @Longhorn nd have neen there since the doors opened ... We are a new establishment, with talents varying from all types of other restaurants ... We are slowly making improvements, as we just recently acquired a new management team.. Dont blame the hard-working employees, blame poor management .... But, as a courtesy, we would ask that if u CHOOSE to dine with us, under ur own free-will, dont insult us, as we are all hard-working ppl with various life situations, just trying to support ourselves nd our families .. We are trying our best, nd would love to have the support of our community ... I agree there are alot of people out there who are trying to make a living, people need to support our local establishments they employee our neighbors and friends and without them we would all be out of work!!

I've worked in restaurant's for almost 20 years, done everything from serve to manage and I know for a FACT it doesn't take almost 8 months for everyone to perfect recipes or talents. Another management staff already? Wow! I've given this place three chances, all a couple months apart and will never go back. The food down to the hateful greeters it was a terrible experience!

I work at longhorn and have since they opened. I've had a handful of guests have some issues, but nothing that wasn't fixed. I've never had a stressful table, I've never had any guests complain about the service. People taste things different. Guests don't go back into the kitchen. That's where all the stress is. People who have never served have no idea how hard it is. Most guests don't realize that not only are they looking after you, but they are also looking after 6+ tables! We try and we try our hardest. We have wonderful teamwork and mostly everyone that works there have become friends. This is my favorite job I've had and I make a lot of money because I'm a good server. If you have a problem, say it while you're there! Don't wait until you get home and want to post your hate on a website. A lot of people don't like the seasonings we put on the steak. That's when I recommend to have no seasoning on their steak, light seasoning or even put it on the side. The problems can be fixed. If you're not mature enough to understand that it's a job and no one can be 100% perfect and that servers ARE PEOPLE TOO, then you don't deserve a good meal being served to you by hard working people making $2.15 an hour. You have no idea what it feels like to have a good table, they loved their food, complimented on the service, and leaves without tipping. Some people just don't tip. IT'S FOOD. We're not building you a house. It's food. And if food is that informant to you that you need to post all your hate on the Internet because you had a bad experience, you've got issues. If you've had multiple issues, DONT GO BACK! it's as simple as that. We have regulars that come in all the time. We don't make you come back and waste your money on food you already know you don't like. I understand if you're just trying to give it another chane, but if it fails, get over it and go back to roadhouse or O'charleys. Like I said, we do have a great team there and we try really hard because the guests are how we make our money. If we forget about you, it's not on purpose, it's probably because our 5 other tables keep asking for refills or bread, or anything. We tulitask like crazy. Give us a break!

You have no right to bitch. If you don't make minimum wage with tips then the restaurant has to pay you minimum wage. Seeing as your job requires no formal education or skilled labor you shouldn't make more than minimum wage.
