Can anyone tell me if there was a gentlemans club on Springfield road a long time ago? I heard a rumor that there was and was just curious. I couldn't find any information on the Internet about it. Also curious to know what the area was off of Springfield road (where the apartments are) before they built the area up? Was it just farmland?

Yes, there used to be something called the Bunny Club on the right, directly over the tracks...

Thanks Josh for a real answer lol. I heard one of the men who belonged to the gentlemans club killed some women back there and I just wanted to know if there was any truth to it. I can't find anything about it online

I'm not sure of anything like that happening but the place did have frequent fights toward the end of its run before it shut down. I doubt any info would be online about this place as it was mainly popular in the 70's I think it closed late 70's to early 80's. it sat empty for many years & was torn down in the mid 90's if I'm not mistaken. I remember going past the place many many times as a child & my family telling me stories about it when it was open. My uncle even got into a fight in there. I was born in the late 70's so it's hayday was before my time.

It was on the right, right as you go on springfield road just across the tracks on the right. It has been many years ago and the building hasn't been gone too many years.

It was still open in the 80's. We would go there to get weed sometimes when I was young. It was a wild place, mostly a black club. No offense meant to anyone. I heard a woman got stabbed and killed there. Shortly thereafter it closed down.

The Bunny Club was the second building on the right hand side of the entrance to Springfield Rd off of East Dixie, the building is still there. Can't recall what is in it now. It closed in the late 80's, and it was not a gentlemens club... It was just a hangout mainly. They would have parties there that would get wild with drugs and Colt 45! Always ended in a big fight, and occasionally a shooting or stabbing.

The parties still happen.

Been at that club lot of happy folks unless u wanted to start a fight, then their was always someone to help solve that, maybe not the way you would of liked. Like in the early 80's or late 70's. Miss places like that.

The building is gone. I remember when I was a child there was a sign on the building that said. Men 21 Ladies 18 to enter.

I'm not sure if it is the same woman you are referring to but Robbie Valentine's mother was killed in that vicinity I think.
