well... I'm going to keep on posting, warning others of male doctors with the wrong intent with lady patients and how common the problem is and how many women don't even realise they are being abused by their doctor through lack of information and/information.

SEXUAL ABUSE BY DOCTORS STATISTICS:

I would like to invite you to read the relevant statistics in medical literature about sexual misconducts.

West J Med. August; 157(2): 139–143 Physician-patient sexual contact. Prevalence and problems:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1...

reports that of the Members of the American Medical Association who were studies 176 out of 1891(i.e. 9.30%) committed sexual violations and 93.2% of these were male doctors.

This is a table of sexual violations by branch of medicine. The statistics show that 97/100% of sexual violations are conducted by male doctors:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2...

This is an article which demonstrates that on average about 4% of doctors have sexual relationships with patients and of these 4%, 97% are male doctors acting sexually on women:

Psychiatry (Edgmont). 2009 June; 6(6): 45–48.
PMCID: PMC2720840
Crossing the Line

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2...

This is a link to the publication of the state of Michigan stating that American Medical Association, the percentage of physicians who have crossed sexual boundaries with patients may be as high as 10%...Violations of sexual boundaries between a provider and his or her patient include beginning a personal relationship during or after treatment, engaging in sexual activity, discussing sexual matters that are not relevant to treatment, using “off color” humor or telling “dirty jokes”, or repeatedly engaging in prolonged conversation about personal matters unrelated to treatment."

Dr Bruce smith, obgyn, was convicted on 01/18/13 for raping one of his patients during a pelvic exam, I guess it really does happen.

He done that to a 68 year old woman yet people insist that doctors don't get turned on when examining younger attractive female patients this way? If she hadn't noticed his erect penis he'd have gotten away with it. I can't help but wonder how many male doctors have their penis straped in order that it wouldn't show and what about when the attractive female patients are under anesthesia with an all male theatre team, no CCTV allowed, no chaperone required?

It makes me feel a whole lot safer now that women are becoming more on guard during these kind of examinations and now that doctors are getting convicted for abusing their positions of trust. I hope that it will soon feel ok to go to the doctor once again.

EEEE HHHH IMO it is rife sure some have to releif themselves in the toilet. CCTV footage could get into the wrong hand, so not an option in my opinion, my opinion the biggest problem is them pressing fingers to prove nothing or very little.

IMO lots are at danger while these prcedures are allowed by, the law wont change right now, so ladies its up to you.

Jessie please find my new link, of course these guys are de sensitized and are able do their job without being turn on, surprising how easy it is to brain wash people with media coverage.

A Frankfort pediatrician with a string of complaints against him by women is facing a new lawsuit over alleged fondling.

Male gynecologist convictions are happening daily. When are other female patients going to notice the figures and avoid them like I now do?

I have never believed male doctors are different from any other men when it comes to the view of women. I think to be a quite goodlooking Swedish girl and I can see the way all men, included doctors look at me.

The sad truth is that some women to like the attentions of males and they prefer male doctors for these reasons. Although they will never admit it to their partners as well as male doctors, especially those who dela professionally with naked women, will never admit they enjoy their view/touch...I think there is just a lot of hypocrisy...

... I like to satisfy all my man's fantasies, but I would never fool him by pretending being examined by a man is the same as being examined by a woman. It's just foolish. Nature makes us like what we like, it's not something you can control...

....However, to some men who think women are all different I would like to tell: wake up many women do like sex just for sex, are attracted visually to men and enjoy being viewed and touched by men....

So I think if you have a partner like that, probably it's better you dump her before you get hurt, don't believe in what she says, that it is just medical, and don't believe she did not know she could go to a female doctor (unless she is 14)....If she intentionally went to a male doctor for an intimate visit, she did it because she wanted and you must not be foolished..IMO, if she could choose a female doc, and she knew you were not happy with a male, yet she did it, she is not valuing you or respecting you, and she is kinda cheating...

Some women, unfortunately, have fantasies about male doctors, as some men have fantasies about female nurses...Sad but true...

...if your partner/wife/gf does that to you intentionally...consider it as if she cheated, because in her mind, she surely did, unless she had no option...

I think you people are seriously clinically insane and read far too much into the patient/doctor relationship. A male gynecologist is no different than a female. And really, you don't think there aren't lesbian gynos out there? A true professional knows how to separate his job from his fantasies. Apparently you crazy idiots cannot decipher the difference.

Actually that is not true, unless you are not able to read all the medical research posted by Lobby...A male medical doctor can isolate his fantasies as a male police officer can do, so why then aren't male police officer allowed to search women under their skirt?

Additionally, if a male doctor can separate, so the rest of male people of all specialisations can, so why do we need to keep separate wash-rooms and change rooms? Either all men/women can compartmentalise or none can... So either we need no gender separation at all for any activity when we get undressed or we need gender separation in all contexts....It is actually very weird that only doctors can separate and be able to maintain boundaries...Does not really make sense to be honest....Plus even if a man is simply, for instance, spreading some sun-cream on my breast, that does not mean I feel nothing, or he feels nothing...yet it's not sexual....

Men I know look at the asses of the female volley players, at the girls in mini-skirts, etc... Very interesting that they stop being men, when they practice medicine....All you mean is that they do not say what they feel and think....that's the only way of being professional: pushing things under the carpet...Hypocrit

Very well said Dorothy... and very true, would the fox not fantasize about food if it were shut in a chicken run? Maybe the fox wouldn't think about foot if he had been to school? Nature is very strong.

i guess all those tsa screeners are also able to seperate their feelings from their jobs as well, i mean after all they are just trying to keep everyone safe on the airplane, why did everyone flip out over that if there is nothing to it? i think the reasons are pretty obvious as to why we object to male gynecologists/obstetricians and you should not have to think one crazy to see it.

men were not always allowed, in fact, only in recent times(20th century) was the term,'obstetrics' used to replace the term 'midwife', it is a latin term that makes it sound more academic. moreover, the only time a male was allowed to assist the midwife was to extract a stillborn baby(the stethescope was not invented until the 18th century) papsmear wasnt invented until 1927. so yes, now that we have the technology of the internet, and us men know what happens in an exam, of course we object big time!
