Why don't the employees strike or a class action suit. Sounds like enough complaints on here. Get courage people, don't wait around for someone else to stand up for you. Norma Ray didn't.

I think there are some great managers at Akebono. Just because there are a few bad apples doesn't mean we group them all together. There are a few who really try and help the associates in their department. But, I do agree there are some who need to be replaced. Thoughts?

I agree with you wholeheartedly. There are some great managers out there, and the ones that are bad, either need to be adjusted with with their attitudes, or gone. I think Myron and Doug are making some good steps, but nothing happens overnight. They have to investigate every complaint, one by one, they can just go by your word, there is a process they have to go through. I, for one, dont want to see anyone lose their job, but sometimes thats the only solution. The problem with everyone is that they demand answers NOW!! What if someone filed a complaint on you, wouldnt you want it thoroughly looked into? And as far as this pointing out names on here, really? Deal with the proper people on this and quit posting peoples names. We are not in high school anymore, lets be grown ups and deal with the issues at work in a grown up manner.

Actually, this is NOT HR, but you believe what you want. You guys are ridiculous and just like to stir up trouble. If I have a problem I go up the channels until it is resolved, sometimes problems just dont get passed up and fixed like they should, so you have to take the initiative until they are fixed. The problem with that place is you dont pick and choose your battles. There are serious ones, and petty ones, If your being mistreated or harassed then TAKE CARE OF IT!!! If your fingernail hurts, get over it and do your job. The extreme cases need to be addressed first, nobody deserves to be harassed either sexually or by bullying. But if you whine on here, and dont sit down and talk to SOMEONE in authority then you are part of the problem, not the solution. Its so easy for you to hide on here and call out peoples name, but you dont disclose your name, maybe because your afraid that people will call out your work ethics on here like you do everyone elses and your feeling would get hurt....

Call OSHA now the new safety guy quit. They run off any good employees. Myron & Jeff are dum a..and will be fired. It may take a while but ask Lynn Sanders.

<quoted text>you can make an anonymous complaint to OSHA, I have had reason to do it in the past. About two days later the problem was taken care of. My problem was minor, just a tripping hazard, but it was still a problem. If you think you can get an inspector to come in as a temp, I believe you are fooling yourself, bur if you have a problem, I do suggest you get it taken care of.

Afraid of being fired and most of them can't afford to go without a paycheck. To deep in debt.

McDonalds is hiring and you only have to work 29 hrs a week.plus they give you a(free)cheeseburger and sweet tea every day of work. Since you people hate your job so bad you should check in on it.

Why should we go find a new job. We work hard and should be treated respectfully. Unfortunately or HR team and management does not care about the employees. How disrespectful for HR to make reference of associates who stand up for what they believe is right as freedom fighter. I will support a union. It may not happen now but it is coming. So until then I will watch HR and management think they are getting by treating people as second class citizens. Shame on all.

Until you all stand up to them, you'll be treated this way. They know you people are drowning in debt and can't afford to lose you job. If Akebono goes union, Akebono will be gone.

I guess we will see. Sometimes we must do what we think is right and prepare. If the plant closes it will be due to poor management, Doug Morgan and his staff also the support Myron and Jeff. We do not need to make a decision now. We can build a strong case for a union by allowing Management to continue their unprofessional behavior.

No not in debt. Have invested a lot of hard work. We are just trying to live a good life and be treated with respect. Being mean hearted and trying to scare people from taking a stand will not work. Intelligent people will see pass it.

OK, then just sit back and watch. Plant will close more likely because of people like you that want the union. What is so hard to see that union memebership has shrunk from 2 million to 300,000. You think they aren't like starving dogs trying to save themselves. Geez, get a grip. You don't want to see the positive changes since Doug has been back. you are pro union so you don't want to see it. Its obvious. all you can say is that Im someone in HR, which isn't true. Things are improving. OT is down, got 3% raise, had a great family picnic, team leaders are having shift meetings,.........open your eyes!!
