I really think you should not discourage people from getting their GED. Obviously you are not aware of many people who are very bright, and do well in life. It's great you did well, but for many different reasons, not everyone has the same story. Perhaps you could volunteer to help someone get their GED or be a role model to someone. That would be a very productive thing to do. By the way many wonderful people work in factories, build the roads you drive on, work in stores, etc. The world is a bigger place than your idea of it. Learn to help people, not cut them down. Your education didn't give you a sense of mankind, sorry you didn't learn that lesson.

Not trying to discourage anyone to not get a GED. There is no reason to quit high school to begin with. My parents were born in the 30's and are college grads. What reason would a person have to quit school now? I don't help with GED's but I do habitat for humanity and volunteer work for homebound residents needing yard work and renovations. Takes up most of my time. I'm not a cold hearted person, but I think people should challenge their selves to do better. Companies should demand more educated people. I think a 2 year degree should be a requirement for a job. Just my opinion. The lack of education in America is sad.

The reason a college degree is worth more is because few people have them. If everyone had a Phd. then a doctor would be picking up your thrash this week.

why did they not mention what kind of raise upper management got when they told us about our raise, then the next day they came around & gave them a paper telling them how much their raise was, how are things suppose to be getting better when they are still trying to fool us, it's no telling what kind of raise they gave them, wish they could explain why they are so much more valuable to this operation then we are

Team leaders all make different amounts. But they all got the same 3% raises. Or so they were told. You called out Doug and "tearing down the walls", They have never, in the last 23 years, posted team leader, manager, pay increases along with associate raises. Some of you people are going to complain no matter what gets done. They could have given us all a 5% raise and $1,000.00 bonus and someone would have complained. Give me a break.

AMEN! Some people will never be happy! T/L's and Up raises have NEVER been posted! NO company post managers raises! I will be glad when HR realizes that the union has no support and stops catering to them. The freedom fools are the same people who have always caused trouble. HR needs to tell them to get over it or find a new job. I repeat, They have NO support! When you cater to them it makes them look stronger than they are! Support the associates who support the company and ignore the union talkers. We all are getting tired the union talk and want to move forward. Talk with your associates who want to see the company suceed and are greatful for their jobs and stop giving all the attention to the trouble makers. We are feeling left out!

They don't post them because they are performance based. Some team leaders might not have gotten the whole 3%, Same with Managers. So basically, team leaders and managers had a chance at 0 to 3%. Damn, accept your raise, go in there do your job and go home. All of this bickering and finger pointing isn't going to make life better. Just go in, work , and go home and it does get better. At least it works for me.
