thanks for sharing. sorry about yur staph infection- hope you are doing better now.
I had a heart attack a year ago and feel like I got the best of care at HMH- ICU dept where I was for a week was wonderful- all professional and extremely caring- afterwards I had to have a stress test- the woman who conducted it was a real bi*ch. Maybe she was having a bad day. I am glad that I am alive.
Just curious

Obviously your staph infection was not an emergency, why didn't you go see your personal doctor?? This is the point of the conversation where you get mad and yell and tell me how you almost died and blahblahblahblahblahblahblahnl ahblahblahblahblah Sorry I lost interest.

I had to take my elderly parent in the ER this week. Of course, what I saw (as usual) were the PASSPORT people. I feel as though there is so much abuse of having this 'privilege' rather than their waiting until the next morning to go to regular doctor or Care First centers. I found the ER nursing staff as well as the doctor to be superb. What I heard from one patient across the way was tacky talk and display of disgusting attitude. It can be the reverse. Look at what THEY have to deal with.

Thank you!! Many patients do not understand and just want to complain because of the wait. They dont understand if these people would go to their family drs instead if comingvto the er the wait wouldnt be so long for the people that really need it.

the place really is a joke. i fell off a truck and actually broke a few bones in my leg. Those morons sent me home after telling me it was just a sprang. Your level of care depends on how good your insurance is. no insurance/crap insurance and youre pretty much screwed.

Yes, those who use this 'card' i.e. free pass create major problems, especially in the ER. Not meant to be used to get a Band-Aid.

I wasn't aware I had to explain. That reminds I need to look over the topix rule book.

Oh, please. There are those who would be more concerned about the 'rule book' vs what we are supposed to be studying tomorrow. By the way, how does all of the filth and base statements end up on here IF there is said 'rule book.' Tacky people, I guess.
Of course not

Wow. Using "and" would indicate that you had some other writing of wit in this thread. You don't.

Unless of course you are a hospital apologist who posts under several names.

A member of my family was there after a car accident two weeks ago, he didn't receive anything for pain until after being there for five hours. He told them he was in extreme pain. For a man to cry, it's bad. Turns out he had broken two vertebrae. Car insurance will be footing the bill, so its not a matter of no insurance. What's the excuse there? That was our familys first time ever there. Bad impression. They finally wanted to admit him and administer pain meds. We took him to Louisville!

Were they seen by a doctor or a nurse practitioner?

There's 2 sides to every story and we're only hearing your side.
