I have just found out that all cell phone numbers will be released to all telemarketing companies in America. You can call 888-382-1222 to put your number on the no call list. From what I understand that if you are called from a telemarketing company and answer the phone you will be charged for the minutes used. When you call to place your number on the list you must use that cell phone.

I make a game of it when they call my numbers. When you mess with them, they will take your number off their call list so they don't have to deal with you again. Better than the do not call list which does not always work. Next time you get a call, pretend you have a heavy Indian (India) accent. Funny!!!!

when they call,tell them it is a work phone and your boss will prosecute....all calls will end.

I have had a cell phone for 7 years and not once has a telemarketer call me. Maybe you have a provider that gives your info out for fee. Who knows. It was disputed years ago when it came out. How gullible are you? Pay attention.

Old news this happened at the beginning of the year. There is a no call number though you can register your phone on line.

Random digit dialing. Their computer tries different number combinations until it gets a hit. Unless they know your name when they call, they're just picking up when the computer hits on a valid number. Usually they throw out a random statement like "we have your refund ready" in hopes that you may actually have a refund pending somewhere. Then they'll ask for your bank routing number for the deposit so that they can commit fraud on your account, ask you to wire money, etc. Very few businesses would actually sell your information these days, and the regulations on buying and using that information are too restrictive to make it profitable. Best practice: if you don't know the number calling, don't answer.

I tell them I just got out of the shower and am naked. I then request that they talk dirty to me for about 20 minutes... They usually hang up, but some laugh because they get it.
