Dear Ohio Dog Friends,
We are so pleased to share with you that, just this afternoon, the Senate State and Local Government Committee passed Senate Bill 95 (aka The Puppy Mill Bill) by a vote of 7-1!
For those of you who have been following this bill since its inception, it's been 4 long years. For 4 years, Ohio dogs have continued to suffer. But the end is finally in sight!
Our next step is to bring the bill to the Senate Floor for a vote. We would like to bring it to the floor this week or even next week, but we need your help to do that. With so much going on in the Ohio Statehouse right now, we really need Ohioans to push to get the bill to the floor. Your voice is very important right now.
You can help push this bill closer to the finish line by sending an email or making a call to ask that the bill continue to move and be voted on by the full Senate this week. Letís keep todayís momentum going by being a voice for the dogs that are sitting in the mills right now. We can do this with a loud and collective voice to the Ohio Senate to let them know we want this done this week!
Please, ask your State Senator to get the bill to the Senate Floor and to vote "YES" for Senate Bill 95 (The Puppy Mill Bill), co-sponsored by Senators Hughes & Cates.
And please copy Senate President Harris Bill Harris, SD19@senate.state.oh.us on your note to your Senator. Senator Harris will decide which bills are heard on the floor.
Thank you for your support at this crucial time and for being a voice for the dogs that linger in the mills.
For the Dogs,
PS To be most effective, include your land mail address so they know you live in their district and are their constituent
