Hello Good People of Vincennes, I have never had the pleasure of visiting the " Executive Inn " but I have seen many wonderful pictures of it and some day hope to experience its beauty. When people travel they like to visit establishments of Great History and it seems that the Executive Inn has a lot of that. However in reading many articles and comments about said inn, it sounds like there are some " People with Power " doing all they can to interfer with getting the inn up and running again. WHY won't the city give them a LIST IN WRITING of what the owners need to do to fix everything ?? It seems that since the original owner passed away, whoever bought the inn and tried to make repairs and improvements to get it up and operating again, they have been discouraged in every way possible by the treatment they have been given by the People with Power. Think about how many Jobs it could provide and how much Money it could bring to your fair Vincennes. Can anyone try to help those good people the Valdes family !!

Its a pit and needs to be torn down, the current owner is wasting a lot of money on it.

I have lived in Vincennes all my life and I work within a hundred yards of the exec. It is not only a eyesore but structurely it is very unsafe. The elevatores don't work no fire alarm systems the electrical in the building has been patched and tapped into plus backfed to get power in other parts of the building. When Mr Greene built these hotels he built them cheap and cut corners with a life span of maybe 30 years max and when he died the new owners just cobbled around any problems they had making things worst. I would hate to see it go for the historical facts but it is beyond repair and I would hate to see someone get hurt for staying there.

I worked there as a maid when Mr Green owned it . To me he was a great boss. Then i worked there in the kitchen after the new owners took over. Trust me i could not belive some of stuff they try to pull. I would go in detail but I do not want to cause any trouble. The dining room was at one time was beauitful.
However the food began to change everything was premade and that was just gross. When ever they got a boss in there[chef] that try to change things back to how they were he was told no at every turn and trust me he was great chef.

As for the rooms that whole back side should be tore down it is nothing but for drug addicts and other illeagal activies to .
I do recall as a maid that csxs guy used to stay there. In the back part, What a great group guys they was.
I am not sure if the new owner is the same that I had last time I worked there or not.But i think they worried to much about the two bars and bakrey and sunk all money into that when in reality they should been fixing other more needed things in the building.

Nothing is Historical about the Exec except that it has been there for a long time, and when you come into town you see that piece of crap.

The back area is home to druggies and whatever. I am not sure as to why he keeps sinking money into it. He ought to just sell that place and get it over with.

At home taking care of my own man.... not skrewing my boss and whining about why my man isn't home........trailer trash! Funny thing is, he'll never leave me for you. And your man is about to get an eye opener.... I have a package ready to mail out to him. Copies of emails, phone records etc. Happy explaining your tramping ways to him :-)

Since I was a little kid, the Exect was where all the larger Vincennes activities where held. After Bob Green died "in a vey questionable accident" it has went to hell. I have stayed there a time or two & always had a good time. I moved away and returned to Vincennes for a wedding and, as always, I called to make reservations to stay there. When I walked in the front door it was VERY clear to me that whoever owned it didn't give a shit about looks.

its limegreen now!the owner ,who is wheel chaired bound, bless his soul had to be rescued from the upper level because the elevator went out and he has relented after a long heated battle, after a fire next door at the days inn-a guest died there, and decided to sell.If someone were to come in demo the exec rebuild it would bring jobs to a city with far more residents than jobs.which could be the key to ridding the town of it's all too well known drug problem.

its too bad the furniture was not sold to the public before it got and inch of mold on it. the whole wing needs to be demolished to make more parking. i worked there a short while as a night upkeep; i still like the hotel and if the electrical was updated im sure it would be perfecrly safe. the bar is the only buisness keeping it afloat.

Anything that been set up at the old exectutive hasn't worked out, contstant trouble with juvinels trying to enter, we don't need any of more of this in our community, I think it's time to condem the place to be honest and star a new family entertainement facility without alchol.

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Scorpio

Emotional tension is in the air today, making it a fraught but exciting day. The fur could really fly between you and someone you fancy, especially if you aren't yet having a sexual relationship with them. Try to channel all this energy into positive directions, such as doing something creative or transforming. It will also help to keep active.
