He fired an officer because the officer wrote the truth about a DWI arrest recently. The chief interfered by insisting that the person arresterd for DWI not be charged with DWI. The officer simply wrote down the facts of arrest and stated that the chief instructed him not to charge the arrested person with DWI. The chief has a long pattern of regulating who gets arrested and who doesn't.

He interferred with another DWI arrest awhile back. He called the officer 3 times while the officer had Trooper Ray Thomas do the field sobriety test for him. The chief ordered the officer to let the drunk go !!!! The officer complied because he did not want to get fired by the chief.
