I would like to meet with an engineering student who understands gears / right angle gearboxs or rack & pinion type equipment. We are trying to design a simple mechanical device to insert within a 1 3/4 inch square tube that will push an "inner tube of 1 1/2 inch" outward against a wall and create the necessary force to hold the unit in place without vertical supports. We are looking for someone to comment / advise / redirect us on the design (keep us within the engineering rules / laws), etc. Willing to compensate individual for their effort... We are from Villanova (business degree.. If interested, please send email (firstname.lastname@example.org)indicating your interest and some information on how you might be able to assist us... thank you!
