There is an old OLD abandoned hotel off of Robertsville Rd..I am sensitive to the feelings..and everytime i drive by..Damn do I want to go in there. I was told by some old timers that it was a hotel/ flop house/bar for black people. Like a Jazz/blues place. IDk but I do know there is something there that almost calls to you when you go by. I would love to go there if you check it out!!!
I know that abandoned hotel on Robertsville road that you speak of. The history of it that you speak of is the same as I have heard. I've had the same feelings as well as the feeling that something has happened there, that I'm not sure I want to know about and scares me. It becomes a happy, happy feeling to OMG!

I grew up near there, but never knew much about it until recently. I do recall seeing people there regularly in 70s, but don't know what the story is today.

some people on the Pacific/GS page on FB say that it was (partly?) owned by BB King and he used to perform there regularly?

I never got the impression anything happened there other than some possible flood damage from river across the road.

Elijah McClain's....it an old mansion on the riverfront. It belonged to Elijah himself and he was a early settler in Washington, Mo. At one time it was a very nice place to eat and gather with friends at the bar. A friend of mine use to work there and told me many many strange stories about the place. I had personal experiances myself in this beatiful old house. I am not even sure if the place is still standing, if it is i would love to investigate with a paranormal team. If anyone knows more information then what i wrote please let me know and thank you.
.... Yes, It is still standing. And I live very close. When I'm feeling upset, or emotional. I always go there, just because it overlooks the river front. I have also captured photos of the windows at dark, just see to set movement. I got close ups of the building inside. And just seen orbs in my photos. I'd love to investigate as well.

I lived in a small house on highway M in villa ridge about 21 years ago. Many strange things happened in the short time i lived there. Tv came on by itself, the old kind without a remote, doors closed, i was locked out when i went to get something out of my car, vasoline type of grease was put in a hidden b b pistol and all over our dog, and very strange dreams. I've always wanted to ask the people living there now if they've had any strange experiences but i don't have the guts lol.

I'm from WashMO and worked at Elijah McLean's around 1996 as a bartender. The owner's at the time were Taylor and Kiki Strecker. I believe the restaurant/bar is closed, but I doubt the place is in disrepair. It's a beautiful mansion. I have firsthand knowledge of paranormal activity there as well as the coworkers I worked with at the time.
I worked with you, I think. Were you the one who passed out drunk on New Year's Eve? If you are, then I am the girl who wrote the obscenity on your forehead.

<quoted text>the place is still there but in bad disrepair thru the window you can still see a wine rack and dining room tables with chairs stacked on top. The inside still looks good from what you can see. Would love to hear some of the strange occurrences.
It is not in bad shap. I live right around the corner from this home it is still beautiful and haunted. Today is 10-7-15 the home is still standing and has been for sale for the last 2 1/2 yrs that I know of since I have lived in this town

I know exactly where you are speaking of. My friend and I have had the same feeling no matter how many times we've went by there.

Any stories anyone would like to share?
Before I start can anyone prove to me if there has been any black albino residents in Franklin county Missouri in the past 20 years?
