Gee, I wonder why I got a clueless and a nuts rating on this one? There are some real f'ed up people around here.

Oh, that's easy - especially since this thread can be seen in Douglas as well as the Douglas county forum.

If you make sense, have logical responses, back up your reasoning and call people out for their inane, ridiculous replies...certain people will respond with "nuts", "spam" "disagree" and "clueless" icons.

Why letter a goofy rating system dictate what you say or upset you?

Assessments (the rates) are artificially higher to generate more income in order to replace tax monies lost during the housing bust. The problem is that people have also lost income, for both earned and investment incomes, so their actual tax percentage takes a bigger bite.

This is true in both Douglas and Douglas County.

The problem is that not everyone gets a cost of living raise each year..so it's almost like trying to squeeze blood from a rock.
