anyone who would pay $300,000 for a house anywhere within 50 miles of villa rica don't have alot on the ball anyway. That says alot about them.mirror lake is the back side of the crack, where many black families have raised their young, and mirrorlake man says they are overunning it.WAIT just aminute you dumass, the blacks were there first.YOU JUST FORGOT TO LOOK when some realtor sucked you into buying one of these $50,000 houses for $300,000

Why can't this subdivision take action against the hood from taking over the subdivision? I can't drive through Mirror Lake anymore without being yelled at or a black person standing in the road refusing to move. This is wrong and I am selling my home immediately. Section 8 is clearly coming. The developer should take accountability for putting rental property in this promised to be subdivision. The black hoods need to learn respect. Get the hood out!!!
THE HOOD WAS THERE BEFORE MIRROR LAKE CAME IN.THEY BUILT IT in a black neighborhood and made it look appealing didnt they? GOT YOUR MONEY!.The blacks were there first.it is called the CRACK.should change the name of the subdivision to CRACK LAKE

Can anyone tell me how the Carrington development is (Mirror lake - Carrington Pkwy, Dartmoth Way, New Haven Ln)?
I really appreciate your input (especially about crime in this neighbour hood).
Thank you.
I have live on Dartmoth Way and I have been in Mirror Lake for 2 years now. I really like it, I haven't had any problem so far so I think you will enjoy it.

Mirror lake has been a good neighborhood in my opinion. I don't have a problem with the black people who live down the road, or next door to me for that matter. I find it relatively quiet here with good hard working people around me. I live on the Connor Road side and wish those on here with negative opinions could some how prove they live here or just shut up. Progress to some is a threat I guess. We haven't had any issues with anything here except the rain and the "haters" on Topix. Come on down, check it out and know that most here are pretty happy with our location.( near "Crack" town and everything) By the way, the Crack as they call it, is a poor area that does have more black people living there than white people. I have heard they have had busts of people with crack on them but this area isn't that easy to get to from this neighborhood and their isn't a sidewalk etc.. and every town in America has an area where poorer people live. Some people probably smoke crack in nice neighborhoods too.

It has been a fine area and I haven't seen any of the "Crack" in evidence in Mirror Lake proper. It is called evolution. Things change, sometimes for the better, believe it or not.

We looked over in the estates, and that area was very quiet. I have heard that the neighborhoods down Stockmar have had quite a few crime issues.

I feel that the home we looked at several yrs ago was overpriced. We found a larger home on land off of Chapel Hill Rd.

I didn't pay anywhere near 500,000 for my house. I don't live in that part of Mirror Lake. You are obviously someone who knows very little about this neighborhood. I know where the "crack" is located and again, it isn't easy to go from that small area to this area on foot. I don't really care about anyone moving to this neighborhood or my property values being negatively affected by stupid people and stupid comments. This forum isn't known by enough people to be the deciding factor in most decisions made. I would hope those wanting to buy here would use hard data from police reports and tax records etc.. before making a huge financial decision regarding the purchase of a home here.
Stupidity is a pervasive problem on Topix and I really hate it. I guess I am desperate to connect with those who have "normal" posts so I keep coming on here to remind myself that there are people near me who have a triple digit I.Q. Black Mumba, you are just dumb or bored and want to antagonize people. Get some help with your issues or read more to get over "stupid" . I don't know if anything can help though with I.Q.

Very true. So what do the Villa Rica life long residents think of Mirror Lake? I mean it is considered Villa Rica, but they do go to Douglas co. schools. That means they are not overcrowding your school system. Douglas co. however has numerous massive developments the size of Mirror lake, and our schools here are busting wipe open.

That's not nice to insult another because they don't have the same aspirations or dreams as you might.

That neighborhood might be high and above anywhere she has ever lived in. Just because you don't care for it doesn't mean that it isn't beautiful to SOMEONE!

You know, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and wouldn't we want a lot more people like that living in Villa Rica that actually CARED about the community HERE, rather than wherever it is they work or vacation or come from?

Why don't some of you try getting involved in the community here and participate rather than griping and moaning about crap? OR MOVE? Looks like you can always get out and rent your house out to someone who would appreciate the chance to live here...I hear Section 8 is paying the rent on time... ;p

The main problem in Mirror Lake are the sections on stockmare road side. The fatal shooting, The blacks that choose not to use the cart path, The blacks running everyone off at the pool, The black kids throwing rocks at cars as they pass by. The threat of violence with the blacks, vandalism, Loud car music, cars all over the street, etc.
The Mirror Lake development appears to be go downhill fast. I have just sold me home, thankfully with a 48,000 loss just to get out.
They graded and cut streets in next to the bad sections and seem to have abandoned the project. Another (-) sign.
Mirror Lake exemplifies all the beginnings of gang development. Gangs are like ants, one day nothing the next you have a mound. Douglasville has a major gang problem and now hugh crime. Villa Rica and Mirror Lake is not far behind.
a case of bananas would solve this entire problem

I think it is funny as hell that these transplants moved in the mirror lake and bought houses $300,000 over the highest priced houses EVER in villa rica. They also built it in the middle of a BLACK area that has been black for 50 years or longer. They got screwed FOR SURE!!!!!locals laugh at them for being so stupid

Yall just do not have a clue.I was born and raised in Villa Rica a long time ago.Long before Vlla Rica hospital existed.Born at the communty hosptal, there at Carrol road,up on the hill.A church meets there now.We all lived peacefully together for many years,Black and White. There were some areas that were seperated by color.I grew up out in the mill village. There was no racial problems. We treated people with respect back in the day.We all were poor and color blind in Fullerville. It Did not matter our color,we were all poor.Oh, but we were blessed. You see the race card was not played every day like it is nowadays. We were taught respect for everyone.I sure do wish people still had respect one for the other. This world would be a better place."Our Colors Are Human".

It must be nice to block all those memories that were bad from your memory, or maybe you need mental meds.I remember back in the 50's in villa rica when we had to go in lockdown in villa rica school because of riots in the halls,Some black man would talk to a white girl or touch her and thats when the fight started. There has ALWAYS been problems in villa rica between white and black. When america becomes the perfect world you live in,you and I both will be dead and gone.I belive by now everyone who ever posted on this forum knows you stayed in fullerville as a child. If they don't, its their OWN fault.

I do have a lot of good memories of Fullerville,I lived there untill 1958.My Grandparents,Aunts and Uncles lived in Old Town,So I also spent a lot of time there, later my Mother and Daddy owned a home in Old Town.I am very familiar with the people who for years have lived in that area. That area was a very peacefull place to live, not very far from where Mirror Lake was built. All the kids hung out at the Stockmar Ranch.I never saw anything unpleasant in that area,it was peacefull also.In this world some of us see the glass half full, while others see the glass half empty. It is our choice as to how we view life. Some of us are positive, some of us are negative. Some of us choose to have tolerance for others, some of us do not. Some of us choose to love while others choose to hate. The world is imperfect. We still live in this world, and try to do the best we can.One thing we should remember,"Our colors are Human".

I do not live in Mirror Lake but my husband and I drive through it everytime we go to publix. Mirror Lake is beautiful. My manager lives in Mirror Lake in a 800,000.00 home. One of my husbands friends owns a computer software company in Maryland and she lives in Mirror Lake as well. Both of these families are African American with pre-teen and teen children. When teens are bored they do hang around outside. From these post, it is obvious that there are people in Mirror Lake that do not like the fact that minorities live in Mirror Lake( especialy blacks). My husband and I are planning to move to Mirror Lake one day. Four of our children are in college (black) and two of our children are still in elementary school ( white- we are foster parents for medical fragile children...by the way most of the children we foster are white and are from carrol county families that are struggling with crack, meth, and alcohol addiction.) Our foster children have made 360 degree turn arounds in our placement and one of them has been mainstreamed out of special education. None of my children have every been in trouble. My oldest son will graduate with this BA in education this fall and has been offered a job teaching at Mirror Lake Elementary. I think Villa Rica is a great place to live. I am thankful to God for leading me here. I am a true Christain...unlike many that have left post on this blog. Like many families both black and white. We work hard and want the best for our families. I suggest Mirror Lake has a homeownership meeting and let the homewoners and renters know about Villa Rica Teen Club that is help on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Park District will pick the kids up from Mirror Lake. They go to art shows, plays, and participate in lots of cultural activies. Check out the program on the Villa Rica Recreational site. Kids do not have to hang around and do nothing.

Well why don't you go build all these little angels a recreational place so they'll have a place to go.
V Reynolds wrote:
You all need to get a life! I have driven in your neighborhood and there are some white kids hanging out and will not get out of the street. This should not be about color. Kids will be kids. If you don't have a recreational place for them to hang out at then the streets will be their choice. Stop playing the race card and play the human being card or maybe yet the Christian card. God bless you all and give you a kinder heart without hate.
