I love it there. Sure the music is a little loud, but that's true in most churches today. And our pastor Todd, well maybe he doesn't teach what Jesus taught, but he does teach the Truth.

Our church is a House of Todd. A place where we can worship God though the teachings of Todd.
Have any of you ever read the book of Todd?
(1 Todd 3:12) says, Change ye therefore the truth of Christ, to fit what man wants to hear. Or was that in (2 Todd 3:12)?
I lost my bible. Can anyone direct me to a book store where I can by another Word of Todd?

I knew you were being a smart***. Spend more time witnessing and less time bashing a group of fellow believers.

We are Fellow believer's, only we believe in different fellows. I believe what Jesus taught and they believe what Todd teaches.

I've been a member of Midway since 1996 and I can guarantee you that there is not a pole dancer there. That is completely ridiculous!!! We do have contemporary music but it is Christian music much like you would hear on 93.3.

that station sucks too, but at least they have people sing there that can carry a tune and you CAN shut them up by turning the station

I used to go to Midway, and it is a bit more modern than most churches but some people prefer that. it really depends on who you are. personally, I like more traditional small churches where everyone knows each other and notices if they haven't been recently. after about a year of going to midway, some people still thought we were visitors. but, again, some people like large churches like that

Midway has changed I use to sing in the choir. I understand they are reaching out to young people, but does that mean we never remember where a lot of us started and came from. I think it would be nice if they had more compassion for older members after all they made a contribution to where Midway is now. I am all for change if it brings more people to Christ, but it would be nice if for nothing but the seniors there to have an traditional choir so they can fellowship together.

If the change were bringing more people to Christ and not TODD, it would be a welcoming change, however when you destroy anything that resembles a church, and have pastor worshipers, all you are doing is destroying the church from within. How many people would leave to follow PASTOR TODD if he decided to leave or was ran off?You would then find the true believers of CHRIST.I also noticed a comment about this TODD doesn't preach the teachings of Christ, but tells the truth.Whats that all about?

Todd is a good pastor. I know him personally and he has a good heart. He also is a good leader and good leaders will have followers. Todd cannot help the fact that people follow him. All he can do is try and lead them in the right direction. As the pastor, he will be held accountable for the workings of the church when he enters Heaven. If you don't like Midway, that is fine, don't attend there. But, there is a reason that the church has grown so much when others around it are failing. A lot is getting done for the kingdom there. Many $$ are donated to good causes and changing lives. That's a fact that can be proven by taking a look at the church budget. But if you don't contribute, don't ask to see the budget. It is none of your business if you aren't contributing. Midway is in the top 100 contributors to the Lottie Moon mission program. What an amazing accomplishment!

strange you would mention that.Even if you ARE a cheerful giver, the budget is not broken down by each persons salary, but lumped into one huge number.TODD cannot save your soul and offer you a place to go when you die unlike where you are.TODD teaches what people want to hear, not the bible.Thats why the influx of people attending. Its new, its happening, its the sunday morning place to be.Have fun, show off your new dress, sit and watch the strobe lights move around.work off the saturday night hang over.My husband and i decided after todd came and changed this (what was) a church into a huge amusement service, that we would raise our children to praise the lord, not the pastor. He is nothing more than a FEEL GOOD preacher, and make people feel good by coming, where most of them are there for the show and because its a "happening" place.Hopefully those who really need to hear the gospel according to GOD, and not TODD, are in a bible centered church hearing the teachings of GOD,and not there for the lights and smoke like this one

Angie, do you have a church you would recommend? It's obvious you don't care for midway.

Folks: The initial question is quite legitimate. Advice such as 'just go visit' is ironic coming from a generation of conswervationists. Why waste gas if you know you want a 'feel good' place or, instead, a church where Scripture is exegeted expositorily?
The missing element of this discussion is what makes a good church. Clearly warm, friendly people, but what about a church's view of God's Word, or, as mentioned earlier, whether the worship is 'man centered'(loud rock and roll and other 'stuff' designed to cater to the parishoners and make them feel comfortable and 'like' going to a particular place) or is the worship and thwe music focussed on God's attributes and worship of Him (as opposed to comtemporary songs about how good I feel about being a believer, etc.)?
Perhaps answers to these sorts of queries would be more helpful to 'Gods Messenger/original post?

What is wrong with you folks?
Talking about not changing?
True, the Bible does not change but no church is the same as it was 2000 years ago. Do you think Jesus read from the king James Bible? I say who among you who is perfect and without sin? Then you throw the first stone. Midway is an awesome church and Todd is putting up more treasures in Heaven then anyone I know. I will pray for you that have nothing better to do than bash a house of the Lord and his Servant.

From the Old Testament to the New Testament. I would say that Jesus was a game changer. Just go and try the church.
