In Rockdale County, a deputy is arrested for DUI and quickly resigns in lieu of termination.
In Douglasville a police officer almost kills another driver while driving drunk and he's still on the payroll after the people in charge refuse to even conduct an internal investigation.

The deputy from Rockdale must not be a small town hero!!!!!!

Well, obviously there wasn't a cover-up because you know about it.
Every jurisdiction works differently. Maybe the reason the cops are working over here in Douglasville is because they were canned from over there.

Sounds like we need to go over to Rockdale County and get some of their left overs. It takes a lot of money to train a cop. Once they are let go over there, well hey, free trained cop up for grabs.

Or maybe dvpd can hire left over officers from Florida that had a problem with drinking and driving. Better yet he has a problem with using his issued cellphone to send pictures of his man hood while on duty to people. That's what I hear.

Ok the first couple times I read something about that on here, I figured it was just someone wanting to sling mud at cops and was making this stuff up. But now I'm starting to wonder if something like that really happened since it is something that keeps getting "brought up."

Sounds to me like the Ringmaster from Barnum & Bailey could run the police department because that place sounds like a circus.

From what I hear from at least one person with an inside view of the department, just the everyday lives of police officers in Douglasville are filled with the protection of the community from crazy and stupid people. They don't really have the luxury to waste time with internal crap. There's never a dull moment just putting up with silly stuff that bad people do.

Thanks for protecting us, Douglasville Police officers! Sorry you don't always find things to your liking, but things could be a lot worse. I remember when the biggest gripe was that you guys had no place to be except in 7 worn out hand-me-down buildings. Now that you have a nice place to call "headquarters" it seems that some have moved on to gripe about other things.

This is probably a normal progression of attitudes, actually.

Really!!!! Its not all rainbows and kittens. Cover ups will come out one way or another. You can't hide lies. Open records show a lot about a department and a person. How can a officer drink and drive but think its ok to arrest people for it? How can an officer work a sexual harassment case but yet be sending pics and sexual harassing stuff to several women? The better question is how does the higher ups let it happen?

It must be hard to work for a guy who's backbone is like a limp noodle. No wounder the turn over rate is like it is. I don't blame the men and women for leaving such an embarrassing department.

does anyone have any photos to show any of this idle gossip is true? Where's the evidence other than just a bunch of unhappy people trading tales? Unless the evidence is out here for everyone to see, how do we know that this isn't just a bunch of lies aimed at innocent people?

Fact #1 this officer recorded a female officer in the gym while working out and sent it to a (Lieutenant)

A female officer working out in the gym is hardly anything to look at. If is was without her knowledge, then that's a problem but is it a crime? She is out where everyone can see her.
Heck, a lot of women might even be flattered to have themselves videoed working out and staying healthy.

Now if she was undressed or spyed on in a women's locker room that's a different story.
So far these allegations seem like high school pranks done for entertainment, not malicious.

Chief Womack's tweet would say: Sergeant sent picture of his genitals via his city phone to a female. The department took no action and gave him a high five.

Well, if he runs around saying "Semper Fi" all the time, we know he is a good marine. As a former marine, I would rather have a marine running things than the millions of other choices out there. At least he knows the drill.

Having a unique personality and being a former marine or a current marine are not incompatible ideas. Whatever the city police are doing, it's working out in the best interest of the community if you aren't having criminals running amok in your neighborhood. Leave them to do their work.

Yeah, the last marine hired by the police department bought steroids on duty and in uniform.

So let's chat about steroids. What kind of steroids and how are they harmful? I've had steroid shots to stop the spread of poison ivy before and to help with back pain. Maybe the word "steroid" is over used. What exactly was the officer doing with steroids? It's not like they are winning races or athletic competitions because of this.

Unless maybe you know differently? Are all steroids illegal? Do they all work exactly the same? If they pumped an officer up so he can get the upper hand on a criminal, I'm all for it.
