I voted for him just to pizz you off. You are too entertaining!

Taxes are going to go up either way - because the only way taxes go is up; they may reduce a rate one one thing but raise a fee on another.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

In response to what only YOU think was a brilliant post,(senseless would be a better word).

Of course you never argue - it would be impossible. All you do is hate on your friend Tom. In order to argue you would have to have a point that is logical or offer a viable alternative.

However, while your postings are generally nonsensical, you do provide us with plenty of entertainment. Keep it coming!

The above post has been brought to you by one the campaign workers to re-elect TW.
You know those mindless sheep that fallow anything.

They ask for alternatives but offer no past results as evidence of accomplishment. Like maybe listing ALL the industry that all the roads projects have already brought to DC to lower the unemployment rate & increase the tax base, duh!!. You know like all the new fancy stop lights & guards rails on roads that havenít had any from when they were built. Or perhaps the new park (1 of 9) in the county, or perhaps the new library (1 of 3) not to mention every school has one.

Alternatives, I will give you just two that may work in this poor economy (!!!! STOP SPENDING MONEY YOU DONíT HAVE!!!!!).
When employees ask for a raise or some more health insurance, offer them a furlough day or two & if they donít like that one offer them the alternative. There is lots of unemployed in DC.

O my goodness, I almost forgot speaking of bringing new jobs to DC, the BOC (TW) runs it you know had to searched the (entire US) for a new doggy/kitty director, & they had to even make a (new directors position) just to get one you know). And yes he would like a new doggy house to go with his job.
But I am sure that will not come out of tax money, right.

Yes the great Phd economist that post there bs here offer nothing but ridiculous statements like,

Thatís why we elect the BOC so they can tax & spend in a time of a weak economy, but do nothing to increase the tax base for the overall good of DC.

Said the loony that wanted Rita Rainwater to defeat TW.

Circuses asked you for alternatives to TW and all you do your own sheep-like bleating about taxes.

I am sure that you voted for Jackson-Jones who distingushed herself by being a Health Care Executive. Now there is an industry that is known for keeping costs down - NOT.

TW is here for four more years, get over it and start asking your fellow citizens to demand less government services so the County Commission can lower your tax bill.

Just put a hold on all his new projects & there will not be a need to raise taxes again.
In place of his statement "its what the residents of DC want" Let him say do the resident of DC want higher taxes" See how they respond to that.

I am still waiting for that list of new industries he has brought to DC with all his past road projects & public safety already.

I am sure that the residents that live south of I-20 off of Lee Road are very much in favor of an extra $100 a year to get Lee Road widened.

Just like the people who voted to tax themselves for more park space in 2002 (SPLOST), better schools (multiple SPLOSTS), the new jail, and re-electing TW. They also keep voting for commissioners that keep taxing and spending.

TW is only leading the commissioners in giving the people what they want. If the voters actually cared as much about their taxes as you, they would elect people who would run on a no-service/lower taxes platform. Unfortunately, even the so-called 'conservative' Republicans in Douglas County want services, paved roads, parks, senior centers, animal shelters, fire departments, law enforcement, schools, etc., etc., etc.

So I suggest that you quit focusing your venom on one person and start spending your time denouncing government services and convince people that the only quality of life issue our representatives in the county government should focus on in lowering the tax rate.

Good luck with that.

TW will always be my focus as it is under his iron fist that we have the higher tax & spend mentality in DC.

As for evidently most of the voters, they are just like little children. They all want the candy but have no idea how much it cost until later on.

If this is how you think then you should register a new handle - something like 'TW Sux' or 'I Hate TW' and post under it.

Coming on here to b*tch about TW under the guise of complaining about taxes with your current handle is misleading.

Thanks for admitting your true reason for posting.

WOW !!!!! Sound like one of TW's blind sheep is becoming a little bewildered, ya think. Well they say the truth hurts.

I don't see anything misleading, when you think about taxes going up in DC you immediately think of TW.

Still waiting to see the list.

I don't think it is the commission chairman's purpose here to make "deals" with industries to come here (often tax free for a long time) with "jobs" for Douglas County.

I think Tom Worthan's job is to handle budgets, head up the DC Commission and authorize and control spending of collected taxes in the best interest of the citizens of Douglas County.

We have a Douglasville and a Douglas County Development Authority that handle negotiating and attracting new businesses here. You are asking questions in the wrong place and assuming that Tom's job is something that it is not.

Thanks taxpayer! If it were not for you we would not know that Tom is the most powerful man in Douglas County.

Yet you seem to think that your posts will harm this man that you think is omnipotent.

I love it! Please continue to entertain me.
