Not all Christian churches rang bells. In the case of Methodist, Presbyterian and Baptist, it's a church by church "thing". I'm not a Baptist, but I can guarantee you they didn't even LOOK at a bell, much less ring one. lol
I know dang well there weren't no bells bein rang in Georgia. It's illegal for queers to get married around here and I don't ever seein it change. It's the one thing that doesn't ever need to change. Whoever was ringin the bell celebrating gay marriage in a church anywhere should have been shot.(IMO)

Interesting, the New Black Panther member (King Samir Shabazz - real name Maruse Heath) that Obama/Eric Holder's Justice Dept refused to prosecute for voter intimidation (for standing outside a polling station with a billy club in 2008) was arrested in NY for wearing a bulletproof vest and carrying a fully loaded unlicensed handgun. Wonder how long it will take Holder to get the charges dropped?

Wow. I've not heard about that. Interesting. We'll need to follow that to see what happens. I bet you're right. The charges will get dropped and no one will care except those who see this situation for what it really is.

Episcopal churches are liberal, so they might have rung a bell or two and there ARE some Episcopal churches in Georgia. Just thought I would point that out.

Well, I was warning you about some churches in Georgia gearing up to marry gay couples. I don't think gay marriage is legal in GA, right? If not,it will probably be next.

The reason Episcopal churches might have rung some bells is because they are liberal and suppot gay marriage.

It doesn't matter. It will not be deemed as a legal marriage due to Ga Code-Domestic Relations- Title 19, Section 19-3-3.1
So the sissies can play pretend all they want in Ga., but that's all they will be doin in Ga.
There are alot of Episcopal churches that are conservative as well and I'm sure you offended them. They don't support any form of queerness. It will never be legal in Ga. I assure you.

And also receive federal tax monies.

"On Jan. 28, 1900, Episcopal Bishop Henry Yates Satterlee of Washington, D.C., stepped into the pulpit of a local church and appealed for funds to build a new cathedral in the nation’s capital."

All private funds built the church.

today:::::

"Over a century later, however, Satterlee’s concept of voluntary funding has been compromised. In February, the U.S. Interior Department announced that the church would receive a $700,000 grant for foundation repairs, metal work and restoration of stained-glass windows."

If the government gets into the picture, the government usually winds up setting rules, regulations, and running the show.

There is little difference between churches today and churches during the time of Paul, Peter, and John. Where humans are in control, there is never pure religion or worship.

Does this phrase sound familiar?

Al Gore: "Obama Climate Change Speech Best 'by Any President Ever."

Sounds like liberals here on topix patting each other on the back with their nonsense.

<quoted text>He does nothing more than try to stir the pot. The main problem with the current liberals is that if we had a Republican president right now doing what Obama is doing, they would be looting, rioting in the streets and marching on the Capitol. What is going on with the NAS and IRS is PROFOUND and they are too party loyal and brainwashed to GET the abuse of power that is occurring. Apparently, ANYTHING that happens on Obama's watch is perfectly okay.
Now that qualifies as the loser post of the day.

Liberals everywhere are expressing outrage about the illegal acts of both Bush and Obama;
When did you Right Wingers:
- demand Bush and Obama stop assassinating people;
- demand we close Gitmo;
- demand Bush and Obama be criminally prosecuted;
- demand we send the CIA agents indicted for crimes to be prosecuted; and
- donate to the ACLU which has sued repeatedly to defend the Constitution.

Oh ... Wait ... Never ... That's right.

But let gays get married and that Right Wing Wacko fixation on sex explodes to the surface - suddenly there's a crisis.

RWWs should just return to furtively taking care of their "urges", and leave addressing real problems to the grown ups.

After all, nothing says respect for the sanctity of marriage more than:
- Gingrich's banging his mistress while his wife deals with her cancer;
- Vitter banging his prostitutes hang taxpayers' money to pay the hookers;
- Craig on his knees in an airport bathroom providing service to his constituents;
- Schwartzenegger banging his housekeeper and hiding their secret "love child";
- Foley hitting on teenage pages assigned to work for him in Washington;
- Sanford banging his mistress in South America while pretending he was hiking the Appalachian Trail;
- Giuliani banging hookers using government equipment and people to help his get his hookers "online";
- Ensign banging his mistress, the wife of his "best friend", then using Hundreds of Thousands in contributions to pay off the cuckolded husband.

Please- while you RWWs support these guys for public office - explain to the rest of us all again how Right Wingers are the only people who care about marriage.

Hey... If Bob wants to marry Jim, and join the rest of us poor schmucks, God bless him.

It sure can't damage the institution if marriage more than these Right Wing Wacko buffoons.

Is this the same poster who posted this nonsense??

"The first thing a "Conservative" party would have to learn is what an actual "Conservative" is.

A True "Conservative" would prosecute Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Obama, and their co-conspirators for War Crimes, and felonies, committed under the umbrella of "National Security";

They'd cut the War Department's budget in half; They'd legalize marijuana;

They'd increase taxes on us all to pay for these idiotic wars;

They'd re-instate limits on corporations bribing politicians;

They'd do away with all "Voter I.D." laws; They'd shut down Gitmo;

They'd repeal the UnPatriot Act; They'd terminate the secret FISA Courts;

Now those would be True Conservatives - like Eisenhower and William Buckley.

Libs always bit**ing about the Repubs causing stagnation in congress.

Here's a story of total Democratic control of both State houses and a Democrat Governor who can't solve a problem. Can see the same thing going on in Calif.

Maybe Gonzales Won't Recall His Painful Day on the Hill
By Dana Milbank
Friday, April 20, 2007
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/...

...Gonzales had weeks to prepare for yesterday's hearing. But the man who sat at the witness table sounded like the sort of person who forgets where he parked his car.

Explaining his role in the botched firing of federal prosecutors, Gonzales uttered the phrase "I don't recall" and its variants ("I have no recollection," "I have no memory") 64 times. Along the way, his answer became so routine that a Marine in the crowd put down his poster protesting the Iraq war and replaced it with a running "I don't recall" tally.

Take Gonzales's tally along with that of his former chief of staff, who uttered the phrase "I don't remember" 122 times before the same committee three weeks ago, and the Justice Department might want to consider handing out Ginkgo biloba in the employee cafeteria.

You seem to know more about Episcopal churches than I. A couple that I am friends with have a gay son and they won't consider attending any other church, but Episcopal because of it. I attended a funeral with them and that particular church is VERY liberal. So perhaps it's a church by church thing, too.
I didn't think it was legal in GA, but it could be next. Atlanta has a HUGE gay community.
