Um.... I DON'T recall that. In all honesty, NEITHER DO YOU.
Want more proof? I can get it for you OR you can get it yourself.

I'm in disbelief both the video and article were removed. By doing so, it proves some just can't handle the truth.

It's astounding. Apparently, the moderators are liberals and they have removed several posts. One poster, in particular, has problems with posts being removed.

Or remember the 1970's when all the talk was about how we were entering the next Ice Age. Your comment about this being more of a "religion" than science is dead on. The Manmade Global Warming adherents treat their scientific colleagues who express skepticism in virtually the same way the Roman Inquisition treated Galileo when he said "excuse me, but the Earth revolves around the Sun." - "Heresy" they screamed, just as the MMGW crowd scream "heresy" at global warming skeptics.
The following is a list of "Ice Age" articles from the 70's, many with much the same agenda, usually how pollution was leading to cooling and drastic measures must be taken. The list was extensive so I basically eliminated every other article in the interests of space.
1970 – Colder Winters Held Dawn of New Ice Age – Scientists See Ice Age In the Future (The Washington Post, January 11, 1970)

Your list was cut and pasted from PopularTechnology.net .
Why are you guys so embarrassed to show your sources? Just because this website is SO radical and SO frequently wrong that other crazy-conspiracy-climate-chang e-deniers are criticizing them.
But, it's good enough for you!

Yeah, you really are desparate, and your claim to be "simply" a skeptic is no more than threadbare cloth. While the actually NASA findings do report on the reflective properties of Greenhouse Gases in the upper atmosphere, the denialist article you tout ignores the reflective properties of Greenhouse Gases in the lower atmosphere. In other words, it's a two-sided coin.
That "science" you keep posting is tailor-made to snare the rubes.
Footnote:(1) No one on Earth’s surface would have felt this impulse of heat. Mlynczak puts it into perspective:“Heat radiated by the solid body of the Earth is very large compared to the amount of heat being exchanged in the upper atmosphere. The daily average infrared radiation from the entire planet is 240 W/m2—enough to power NYC for 200,000 years.”

Another explanation is "herd behavior" of "herd effect."
One can see it in many endeavors, from small herds up to political herds. Example one, parking your car in a huge parking lot: Park your car in a far distance parking space at the local mall. There will be many empty parking spaces between your car and the other cars closer to the mall. Come out an hour later and usually you will find another car parked next to yours.
Political parties are another example, we see it here in our country and in other countries. Each core party presents it's message and gathers adherents, like flypaper gathers flys.
We can see it in almost all human endeavors, in the schools, churches, economics, science, riots, etc., etc. Even here on topix.
As far as climate change goes, if anything we are still in a receding phase from the last ice age where temperatures will rise along with rising oceans and receding of the ice shelf, hence the receding of glaciers.
The appox 52,000 years of travel of the earth through the zodiac signs has huge cause and effect upon earth's environment, in addition to natural conditions on earth; and for man to assume he can pinpoint any one element, or part, of the total cause and effect of what causes climate change on earth is nothing more than sheer stupidity.
But being that man has a propensity toward herd mentality, it comes natural that folks will climb aboard the train that will provide them a lifetime of monetary security, whether false or not. The baseness of man demands such, just ask any libroach on topix.

This post is a by-product of the heard mentality.

And quit parking your car next to mine at the mall or I'm going to key it.

Glad you brought up the above. Sorry you dont understand what you posted, but that's not unusual for you.
While die hard global warming fanatics stress the impact of co2, nothing is mentioned about the huge increase and impact of other infrared sources. Examples include everyone with a cell phone, remote control, microwave oven, all kinds of wireless and bluetooth devices.
China alone has more than quad-tripled the use of such devices in the last 20 years.
But the herd just keeps getting up to the fence and stops, looking for an escape.

Looks like you named one all by your self. In fact, according to some who post on this forum, this is a modern day atrocity carried out not by the church, but by our current government.
5. So again, the founders INTENT was that there be no state supported denomination. All citizens were to have true freedom of religion and freedom of expression of that religion without fear of oppression.
An interesting turn of a phrase "no state supported denomination", quite a different concept from no state supported religion, or state neutrality questions of religion.
And I'm sure you would agree that "freedom of expression of that religion without fear of oppression" has been attained.

The global cooling myth
Every now and again, the myth that “we shouldn’t believe global warming predictions now, because in the 1970′s they were predicting an ice age and/or cooling” surfaces. Recently, George Will mentioned it in his column (see Will-full ignorance) and the egregious Crichton manages to say “in the 1970′s all the climate scientists believed an ice age was coming”(see Michael Crichton’s State of Confusion ). You can find it in various other places too [here, mildly here, etc]. But its not an argument used by respectable and knowledgeable skeptics, because it crumbles under analysis. That doesn’t stop it repeatedly cropping up in newsgroups though.
I should clarify that I’m talking about predictions in the scientific press. There were some regrettable things published in the popular press (e.g. Newsweek; though National Geographic did better). But we’re only responsible for the scientific press. If you want to look at an analysis of various papers that mention the subject, then try http://www.wmconnolley.org.uk/sci/iceage/ ....
...Finally, its clear that there were concerns, perhaps quite strong, in the minds of a number of scientists of the time. And yet, the papers of the time present a clear consensus that future climate change could not be predicted with the knowledge then available. Apparently, the peer review and editing process involved in scientific publication was sufficient to provide a sober view. This episode shows the scientific press in a very good light; and a clear contrast to the lack of any such process in the popular press, then and now.

An example of a scientist expressing the "finding of a new physical phenomenon."
The implication is the phenomenon is new, never before existed.
Scientist are somewhat like politicians, always looking for more grant money to last them until retirement.
"On April 3rd, researchers led by Nobel Laureate Samuel Ting of MIT announced that the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer, a particle detector operating onboard the International Space Station since 2011, has counted more than 400,000 positrons, the antimatter equivalent of electrons. There’s no danger of an explosion, but the discovery is sending shock waves through the scientific community."
Shock waves no less, wow! Such word usage should get him another 10 year grant.
""These data show the existence of a new physical phenomenon," wrote Ting and colleagues in an article published in the Physical Review Letters. "It could be a sign of dark matter." "
So we see while science does educate us, it also assumes and creates a new herd.

You really are a stupid moron. You compare people to a herd of cattle or a herd of anything? If anything you republicans sound like dumba$$ animals. Saying the same ole sh*t over and over again.

You're easily amused. The poster you laughing at needs to stick to cleaning animals a$$es. He sounds more retarded than his brother.

No, you Right Wing Wackos Hypocrites whose lips are latched firmly on the government teat will be screaming like little girls if ever those programs that keep you alive are done away with.
We normal folks understand that all this bitchin about government programs is just a diversion tactic to hide that fact that Right Wingers are the most dependent on government programs.
The Right Wing Wackos hope that Americans don't notice how they are subsidizing the Right Wingers and demand Right Wing Wackos start paying their share.
Now go enjoy all those government benefits you all slurp up. You'll need the energy to whine.
