Oak Brook officials deny 'shadow government' charges

It seems like a concerted effort of a shadow government An Oak Brook community watchdog group accused current and former officials of secretly spending nearly $20,000 on legal fees in a clandestine attempt to fire the village's top cop. via Chicago Tribune

Its amazing that three men with nothing else to do can keep Oakbrook flooded with bad press by calling themselves a citizens group and making up acusations. It is a shame that the rest of the citizens are not paying any attention. God help Oakbrook.

If the housing market wasn't so bad right now I would be moving out of Oak Brook. I am ashamed of our government and also of those that have self-proclaimed to be the guardians of our government. The Mayor uses press agents and speech writers to be able to function in office and he still can't run a Board meeting. I told my new hair stylist that I live in Hinsdale.

In regards to the "Oak Brook Community Watchdogs", at least they attempt to find those guilty, while all of you cry and whine of how corrupt the town has become on Topix.net .....you should be ashamed for criticizing those that actually have the balls to step up and say something. Poor you and your housing market dilemma. Seeing as how you live in Oak Brook, are we to feel bad that you can only sell your house for what, 2 mil. instead of the 2.5 you desperately need to survive?

At last nights Board meeting they were back again spouting false information about a former Village Trustee. They exist to make trouble and furhter their own agenda. What citizens do they represent other than themselves?
