Joe Muench: Speculating may be classier than rumormongering

Rumors can be dangerous and scary, but "speculation" ... ahh, that's much more debonair.

I've been trying to top you with my own rumors, but that's a tough row to hoe. How will I ever catch up?

Rumor has it that El paso will finally get full manpower on the existing bridges and this wasteful feasibility study won't be needed. Of course, that's only a rumor, and shall never come to fruition.

Take that and run with it, Joe. I'm sure you can get 12 or 13 columns out of that one.

Do you ever write anything of substance? Wait, don't answer that. I can't stand to think of the wasted efforts on my part trying to find a kernel of value in any of what you might have to say.

I usually like to read your columns. This one was bad! I remember when my husband used to work at the El Paso Times. He always said you were a good guy. I've spoken to you a few times and mentioned I enjoy reading your columns. You're getting sloppy in your writing. I know the El Paso Times is not like it used to be in the "good old days". Under Stafford, Lopez....it's the worst I've ever read!

Muench, you're right about people keeping destructive rumors to themselves.

The whole city of El Paso was the biggest loser when Larry Medina was beat by Lozano. Medina was the smartest and best one in city council.

Medina just went back into the business world and made more money while the rest of us got stuck with Lozano and to top it off with Sarinana who's being investigated by the FBI.

The voters over in Medina's district must be the dumbest in this city man. Larry Medina should be resurrected! He should move to the Northeast and run over here. We need you back man!
