When our OWN president wants our gas prices in the $5-$6 range, I don't see it happening anytime soon.

And why does Brazil get to drill in the gulf when American companies cannot get the permits?
Might it be that P. Obama's buddy Soros owns so much stock in the Brazilian company. That would be Chicago politics wouldn't it?
Exactly...you're not the only one "wondering" about this...I can't believe this isn't being plastered all over the news more than it has.....Great political weapon to use by the Republicans/Conservatives in the upcoming elections...

Obama's approval ratings are falling more each day on the issues.....People like him PERSONALLY, but that wont' get him elected again.

Regardless if one believes that Obama raised the gas prices (It was actually Soros doing, and he is buddies with Obama)

How do you feel about Obama claiming that he WANTED America to pay $5-$8 in gas prices?

He certainly isn't going to do anything to stop it from going up since he WANTS it to.

Of course his very own version of the VW Beetle, the Volt came out around the same time the gas prices lowered.

At a starting MSRP of 38k, I doubt I see many being sold.

Heck, you can get a NICE Mustang GT for that price.

Why do all the auto companys make such a major deal out of vehicles getting 20-30 mpg? My '01 Cobra conv. got 30-31mpg at 70-80 mph. My 'vette gets 31+ mph at same mph. These are big v8's and yet everybody buys 4-6 bangers thinking they will save money and get good gas milage.Buying hybrid vehicles that are limited in range and need to have an electrical outlet,so what are you actually saving? How is that "green" when you are using electricity to keep your vehicle running. When I can buy a so called hybrid I can drive across the US without a long extension cord or without some other limiting factor then I may consider buying a "green" vehicle. In the mean time I will continue paying whatever the gas prices may be. Everybody else will continue doing the same thing. Nobody can do without an automobile in WVa.

Just my take on things

I've never heard of a 2001 Cobra getting 30-31 ever. I know for a fact the 99-2004 GTs do not. And the Cobra has a bigger engine that is no better on fuel. Not that I am knocking on owning a V8. I own one. I would own one even if it got 8mpg.

F those priuses.

Wish I had some of the old fuel receipts and milages so I could show you. The man who owns the car now may be able to verify what I say. Will ask him the next time I talk to him. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I sold it. I know there is not much difference between the 4.6 GT and the Cobra. Mostly forged crank and better internal parts. Do know the Cobra is a lot more comfortable and easier to drive than the 'vette. Seats in the 'vette are awful.
