Does anyone know anyone from SOPERTON that has been hired to work at RF? What is going on? I thought they were going to give some of our folks jobs?

Yes, I know of 2 local people that work at the construction site, and the woman in the office is from Soperton.

Probably most of the work out there right now calls for specialized people who are being brought in from other places.

Frustrating, huh?

Our local folks could sleep in their own beds and eat at home...

Does anyone believe that a single drop of ethanol will ever be produced at this plant in Soperton?

Just curious about it.

It is so sad that the local people here cant gain employment with range fuels. What in the hades is going on with this situation? Maybe a handful of soperton people are employed there, but most are from out of town. It is wrong.

I know of a couple of people "in Power" that say they are frustrated with it too, so we'll see what happens. How frustrated are they? Enough to do something about it? HMMMMMMM

I talked to a lady who said her husband was fired from there because he tried to tell them it would not work the way they were trying to do it.She also said that the chemists do not have it perfected. To answer your question based on what she said,I doubt it.

Pretty funny that it worked just fine in the research and developement stage. Maybe if you get the bitter out your mouth and give it a chance you will see that it will be better for your community. Everything doesn't happen over night with the building and the employment of a plant that size. So sit back and be patient and lose the small minded mentality you all are displaying here.

What from what I've seen ,it looks to me like the people here in Soperton are lazy & just want a job & a check but they don't won't to work for it.

I had one man ask me for a job....but he said he "aint going to work when it's hot" & asked when the roof would be on...When I told him that most of the plant don't have a roof....He didn't want a job any more.

Why don't you tell me what kind of work is being done out there & who you know of that can do that kind of work....

I don't think you know a lot about what kind of work is going on out there

I know exactly what is going on out there, "Logger." On what are you basing your comments?
Are you implying that Soperton/Treutlen County does not have men qualified to do the work there?! If so, you are very wrong. There are many skilled craftsmen who live here who have had to make their living by working all of Georgia, as well as out of state. Why shouldn't they be able to work at home now?

You won't find any better pipefitters and welders than we have right here in Treutlen County; sadly, for the most part, they are all working out of state right now to provide for their families. Wouldn't it be great if these guys could be put to work right here in the county?

They have hired some fitters & welders & they work about a month & quit....They are taking home over 1K a week, but they don't wont to work 10 hours a day 5 days a week.

Or some get hired & can't weld well enough to pass the welding test

They hired some people that was related to the woman in the office.
If you know her,ask her if she would recomend them again

Thats some of the people that have worked a short time & quit....

Then we can talk about the men that she got a job & they can't pass a drug test.
