Your editorial states:

* "At issue is MHMR being asked, more than once, to show on its books reasons for its claims of fund shortages, and its expressed worry that some 1,500 patients may no longer be able to receive their prescribed medications."

* "There are too many unanswered questions on how MHMR spends its money."

A fair and prudent REASON to stay after MHMR.

This is a County of El Paso obligation under law.. Why are the citizens of the City of El Paso expected to pay twice?(to the county and to the city?) What about the other cities in the County, are they asking their citizens to pay twice?

Now did this funding come off the backs of city employees who gave up their raises? Funny how there was NO money for that but boy can they fund "organizations" like this. Maybe if MHMR would stop its personal vendettas against senior citizens and have them committed who have private lawsuits against ex employees then maybe they would have the money to help those in need...My father who was trying to honor his sons dying wish to be buried with his son and instead this "organization" had an 80 year old man committed for evaluation...wasted tax payers money and put the life of a disabled elderly man in danger...maybe Mr Mayor should think about how their priorities to people who need it instead of wasting it on personal vendettas...Wouldn't you agree Mr. Larcenaire?

city employees didnt deserve a raise tax payer. they get paid more than they are worth.

EXCUSE ME!!!! this was a raise they already had from contract negotiations....maybe you should get your fact straight.....I would like to know why you don't think police officers and EMS and firefighters don't deserve a the raise they gave up so the city would not have to raise YOUR taxes!!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Capricorn

You're feeling edgy as Mars moves into reverse, and it won't be long before people start to get on your nerves. You might get very irritated by someone's funny little habits, yet feel you daren't say anything in case you go overboard. Or you could get very annoyed when someone blurts out something that was supposed to be a secret but which quickly becomes common knowledge.
