It's good to see that at least with Best Buy and The Distillery, that they are using existing buildings rather than build new.

Very true! If only can find someone to go in the old circuit city!

Yeah, it looks like they learned a lesson from Henrietta about re-using empty buildings instead of building more.

Love the Victor area and the small businesses there, however, traffic is a huge problem every afternoon. I learned to bypass that area now. Would like to see a better plan on getting traffic moving along on 96 thru the Victor area.

The most obvious answer to any traffic question in Victor is an exit ramp right off of 490 into the Eastview Mall Parking areas. During the Christmas season, the traffic delay was measured in hours.

I think one of the main reasons why business would hurt in the village is that awful single lane for traffic. As one "poster" states, they avoid going through the village because of the traffic. If more people think like this, than it's less business the village will get due to people going around it instead of through it.

Victor Main street/96 is one of the worst places to be from around 3, when school is in session, until like 6:30, when rush hour is done.

Well, let's see, you could NOT let anymore business property owners build there and pay more taxes. Times change, lands change, and people [get used to it] open space becomes retail and homes. Your taxes are lower than some areas because of the Mall and other retail business paying property taxes and bringing in millions of taxes from spenders. If you keep your business current and offer current wants/choices, then you should have no problems. If you want to charge multi-bucks and aren't current in your choices or too choosy, then your business goes down. You figure it out.

I know where The Distillery is gonna go, but where is the Best Buy going to go?

This is great news, cause I was really disappointed when Circuit City closed.

I hate having to drive all the way out to Henrietta from Fairport just to buy my electronics...
