The woman who claims she and her children were turned down membership have not stepped foot in the synaogogue for the ten years I've praying there. She and her family want to suddenly become members because they heard that there may be a sale of the building and wanted a piece of the action. The building is a crumbling edifice. If the preservationists have a couple of million to save it -- great -- otherwise we want a new and comfortable synagogue to pray in.
