How is it you you don't mentions the millions of taxpayers dollars that have been invested in Kirtas. Or perhaps you should mention that fact that just a few months ago Kirtas received $325,000 in funding from the state on the same day they laid off several of their employees.

What he says: "We are the recognized world leader"

What he means: "Thanks of all the handouts!"

"You you" really ought to proof your posts before you hit the submit button.

"Thanks of all the handouts!" What the heck are you rambling on about?

If I remember correctly didn't Kirtas just get named to Rochester's top 100, and Inc. Magazine's top 500 of privately held companies?

That's pretty darn impressive if you ask me.

Kirtas is bringing hundreds, and hundreds, and hundreds of years worth of old books back to life. Knowledge which is sitting on shelves. Millions of books are useless, and this company is changing that! I would be damned proud to have my tax money support a Rochester based company like this! What about the Walmart, Kohls, Red Lobster, and other crappy businesses being built in Victor?! I don't hear you complaining about your tax money supporting those businesses!

Given that all hourly Kirtas employees are currently enjoying every Friday off with 60% pay, courtesy of NY State unemployment benefits, this seems to be a clear case of success on one front (increases in revenue year-on-year) being overshadowed by the human cost.

What has happened to the hundreds of jobs promised by Kirtas management, when they were looking for the hundreds of thousands of dollars of NY State and Ontario County funding/grants?

Clearly a pack of lies.

Proof was requested that Kirtas was a recipient of public state/county funds:
