They wont release his name bc he's a minor. Yes he goes to Victor. His victims were in elementary school.

Tyquan Rivera was a minor, yet they still released his name and pictures.

noname85 wrote: But they tried him as an adult. He was a minor but he was tried as an adult and that is the reason the media was legally able to release his name. I don't fully understand this and I was wondering if you could elaborate further so that I can better understand how this process works. Thanks.

Tyquan Rivera name and picture was released "before" he was charged as an adult.
If a black or Hispanic 12 yr old raped 3 girls, trust me, his name and picture would have been released by now.

I wasn't aware of what you stated in your post; but, I now see your point. I always believed that whenever a minor was a victim or a suspect aged 16 and under their name was not to be released to the media.

But I don't believe it is the way it is around here. Instead of trying not to show minors names, they instead try not to show white peoples names and pictures regardless of their ages. It would be easy to find news stories of names and pictures of black minors in the area that got arrested, but it's much harder to find white minors names and pictures, matter a fact I can find a lot of stories of white adult criminals arrested where they completely leave out there names and pictures.

That is so wrong. I believe in fairness for all races.

How did a discussion about a disturbing act such as a 12 year old boy raping 3 girls under the age of 11 become a black white issue. Lets think about the hurt and emotions that the victims families are going through and pray for strength to get them through this. Stop crying about what has happened in the past and concentrate on how to stop all violence black and white!!!!

I agree that all violence whether black or white needs to stop. The victims and their families will hopefully, in the right way, be able to get through this. The effects of a person that has been raped never goes away; It stays with the person forever.

If this was a City kid, it would be titled "City teen Charged with Rape".
But it's a white Victor kid, so they leave it out, so people don't start thinking that there is any problems with white kids in the burbs.

But they did mention “boy”.
If this was a girl, it would just read “12-year-old Charged with Rape”.
Because they don’t want people to start thinking there is anything wrong with girls.

Leroy, If you really are black and would like to make this site into a black and white forum perhaps you can answer a question for me. Why do all the white girls go to the tanning booth so they can look like a mulatto. Is it because they are ashamed to look white.
