WAIT, WAIT...this couldn't possibly be Mason-Dixon bringing in *GASP* AN OUTSIDER???? The other side of their mouths have been spouting for months that this is a LOCAL issue...why would they POSSIBLY want to bring an outsider in to give testimony?

It's so easy to see what hypocrites these money-grubbing losers are. I cannot wait until this thing is awarded to Nemacolin.

I give so much credit to Mason Dixon for providing the facts on all levels. This is outstanding to hear first hand how their casino has been a positive to their region.

Unlike those that Oppose who twist the truth and are very misleading ..

Thank You Mason Dixon !!

I am sure that the Major of Vicksburg was brought in for the same reason that he was brought into the last meeting. To debunk the lies and false information spread by Violet Clark about his town.

An all expense trip to Gettysburg? Sure I'll go! Yeah, yeah, I'll say whatever you want me to say. Do I get chips for the poker room too?
Also, National Parks are experiencing record attendence Mr. Winfield.
And isn't this a local issue Mr. Levan? Good luck next week, you're going to need it.

Gambling is like any other addiction, it is based on lies. It feels good while intoxicated with it, but in the morning you have a hangover, and are wondering how you're going to pay the bills. Remember that it is really the LOSERS that have paid for those huge resort cities like Vegas and Atlantic City! The only ones that profit are those peddling it. And say goodbye forever to those peaceful surroundings you now enjoy. Choose NOT to be part of this disgrace.

Let's also clairfy that Keith Miller, this spokesman for no casino, does not live anywhere near this area. In fact, this man lives in Conneticut. So we should believe this guy who is doing everything he can to keep away jobs, economic growth and a chance at a better life for our residents from coming to Adams County? I don't think so Mr. Miller. I live here and want to see my fellow citizens have more positive opportunites in life.

Oh and what is no casino or his plan to bring hundreds of new jobs and millions and millions of dollars to the area? We have all been waiting for this answer since 2005 and just look how much better our local economy has been since that time. Please do inform us of how you guys are going to improve our lives???

Why does this Dog & Pony Show continue. A new Fayette County hotel & resort is already being favored by the Gaming Commission. WHY have the local news media rags NOT yet posted this information that Gettysburg is out! And Philadelphia is building the second waterfront casino on Christopher Columbus ( formerly known as Delaware Avenue) and is slated to pen in 2013.
Also the Friends of the National Parks--that's ALL National Parks have been running a fantastic ad with Sam Watersons' voice over. Good-by LeVan. Oh, and now that Harley-Davidson has decided to replace it's employees with seasonal and temp staffers--that ought to end his motor cycle business too. The York Plant was sold last month.

Uh--the majority of the National Parks are closed due to natural rehabilitation. Gettysburg is not a National Park. It is a National Military Park , funded by the Defense Dept and maintained by the U.S Dept. of Interior. The Eisenhower home is a National Historic Site--maintained by the U.S Park Service, but maintained by the National Park Service --because it is home to a President. Perhaps some folks need to return to history class and learn something instead of gambling.

We are in needs of jobs, we lost alot of manufacturing jobs in the area. However the NO CASINO people speaking out are making $$$ in the county. However, if there is money to be made after the casino is here, they (no casino people) will have their hand open ready to earn their share. IF you don't want the casino here in the county what other job opportunities are you offering in its place....may I ask that? NONE...!!!

THE FACTS ARE--it was placed before the taxpayers in the form of a referendum .The taxpayers voted it in . So get your FACTS correct. It wasn't an overnight deal either. This all took over 10 years as the town is below the poverty level. Oh my, what am I saying ? Adams County by per capita income is now the lowest county in all 63 of Pa. We are the poorest. Gettysburg Borough, per the bond rating system couldn't get credit if the sewer rats were unionized and rich. Cumberland Township is now teetering on possible collapse by the taxpayers since Utah's Flo Ford acted like Obamma and spent money they did not have. So we now seek either secession or become Incorporated.

I believe it was the NO Casino group that started with the "outsiders". They open it up so why not for the opposition to use outsiders as well. It's only fair.

Two Things, First (mustg94) you are scum!. Second this casino might not be a win-win for all but until the no casino folks and the county can come up with a better idea for jobs and tax relief, I say we better give this thing a chance.

So now the truth comes out. NCG is overly concerned with minorities coming into the area if the license gets awarded here. In other words, they are a bunch of retired white people that are concerned that their little tax free Utopia will become overrun with those pesky, no good minorities if the casino comes. Bunch of bigoted blowhards!

Yo pro-CASINO DOPES, does the word corruption cross your mind.

Go back and take a good look at the first photograph of Mayor Winfield being interviewed and you will see LeVan in the background doing the old shake the pocket change so the Mayor won’t forget what to say. And in the second photograph it’s obvious by the Mayor’s facial expression that it's going to take more then a Civil War bayonet to get him to testify in Harrisburg.

Now if you want to know where Mayor Winfield passion for casinos comes from, click on the link below and check out what his uncle Pastor Walter Brown Sr. and his cousin Walter Brown Jr. said when they were interview about the casino in their town of Evansville Indiana. They appear in the first quarter of the interview. You’ll notice that both men look quite anxious, and if you look real close you’ll see Brown Sr. face looks like it took a beating. There were rumors circulating around Evansville that Brown Sr. had a visit from a few of the good old casino boys’ prior to the interview. When asked what happened to his face, Brown Sr. said he was doing some repairs and accidentally fell out of a Church basement window.

Mr. Bill BS Kearney with more lies. Still waiting for him to provide proof of his meeting with our PA State Reps. Been waiting for over a week now. Just like usual his proof is either non existent or more links to plug his documentary or his overblown ego.

Gambling is not an addiction. People can be addicted to gambling, but gambling is not an addiction. The vast majority of people who choose to play cards, slots or dice know full well the odds they face and gamble responsibly within a budget. It's sad that this topic cannot be discussed in real-world, mature terms.

I'm not convinced Gettysburg is the best place for this license, but I don't have to twist reality, something both sides have done time and time again, to point out that Nemacolin is probably the best site.

If you don't like gambling, fine, but stop acting as if everyone who chooses to play is an addicted degenerate who wants to destroy every town where games are played. Millions upon millions of us just like to gamble and know full well when to stop. Saying an industry is built on lies and then lying about things yourself is just childish.
