A lawyer is an officer of the court and should demonstrate fidelity to the court, not to the flag. Even though the judge may have had his reasons I think this was wrong headed.

The judge does not make the rules for the citizens. In a democratic republic the legislators make the laws.

The judge is a public servant.

anon im not dependent on the government i work my a%- off every day and pay my taxes i do think we have a government that doesn't respect us but i took a oath and i will pray in public and i will put my hand over my heart for the flag so who is the true American i will fight when the time comes and you do not know me but i know many of you so if YOu don't like it F%/*U any one can talk sh*/ behind a keyboard.

If you pay taxes you are dependent on the government to protect you. Working hard is not the same thing as working smart. The government used you as has your religion control you through fear and beliefs. The real world is not one of imaginary fears. Every key stroke is monitored by the nanny government you believe is honest.

It takes a vigilant public to keep control of government not the other way around.

I do not let emotions rule my life. God is a religious invention. If you believe in a superior being you have been used by fearing someone more powerful than yourself. You have the power to change government and it starts with talking to your neighbor. It does not happen by pledging to leaders.

Yeah.....and I'll be willing to bet that you'll be the first to complain when there are no jobs, decent economic development, school improvements, etc. in a few years. Tishomingo County is going to be the only dry county in the state pretty soon. I guess people think being dry will keep everyone safe from the evils of alcohol when meth and other substances are running rampant in the county.
