Is that to say that you get in trouble on a weekly basis? Lmao. No, but really, I don't have any problems with him. He has been good to me. Sure, I've seen him be a dick, but hey, really what cop is perfect in this town. Also, wildcat, you don't have to get in trouble at all to know his name in this town, everyone knows who he is.

My opinion of him plummeted after he lied about the wreck he had on Hy J a couple of years ago. He said he had the siren blaring and lights flashing as he crested the hill driving West. I know it wasn't so. He had the lights on, but the siren was NOT sounding. I watched him drive by and was incredulous that he was speeding without a siren as he went. Then, I heard the crash and knew immediately that he had hit someone. Sure enough. Somebody coming off the side street didn't know he was coming, because there was no siren sounding. Sad that he lied about it and said it was on. But, you don't say anything because it is a small town and you don't want to get on the bad side of the LEOs.

observer, I do remember that one. but if you are in a public job and tell your story to other people of the same level, whos side are they gonna take. If you look at it this way if you are in court and you know you did nothing wrong and they hold their right hand up and then tell their side knowing they have lied on you to get you in trouble, whos the judge going to believe, scary huh? Honest people haven't got a chance. If they do not like you, who are they gonna belive? Us, lol, nope. The public officials here are crooked, plain and simple

i think Joe is a great guy. as a person and an officer he treats everyone the same. give him respect u will recieve it. I really had the chance to see what he was like other than just judging the guy from what hes done. meet someone before u talk about them.

tonya enke spread around that she showed him her titties one night so she could get out of dui and he sent her home, don't know if it is true or not, but i have helped with banquets and stuff for judges, lawyers, bankers etc. in salem and they and their wives get drunk and staggerin and slurrin their words and get in their cars and drive and not one of the police ever stop them and i don't know about u but that is not fair at all and not one of our supposedly uppity class citizens ever get in trouble for their actions, i don't drink or do drugs but if i did i would be in trouble big time and i have also heard drug rumors about some of r uppitys, that is what makes me mad cause the cops only bust and hassle people who r not well off, if u r well off or the son or daughter etc. of someone like that then u can get away with murder and that is not fair for anyone

I think hes a good guy doing a very tough job.. I agree with those that say "if you havent broken the law or got sideways of him, you dont or wont really know who he is"..
