The Government has no business being in the health insurance business or the automobile business. The only thing I can see happening if the proposed insurance plan is adopted is more cost and less effective medical care. Doctors will suffer the most by the contraints the the bill imposes which in turn will result in fewer physicians and facilities. I do not believe that we are being heard when it comes to the issues of health care. There are answers to the health care problem but they are not what we have no being proposed. (ie. federal insurance or a socialized medicine policy.)

Oklahoma may have problems but the government is trying to sell a plan that is like the Massachusetts universal health care plan that is bankrupting that state. If our system is so bad, why are Canadians coming here for healthcare they can't get under their system.

We need action not lies to give people health care. We dont need a drug head telling lies and getting his drugs. Tell people that the free ride is over for illegals is over. There are 11 proposals before congress to choose from, and we would enjoy the same benefits of congress. We are paying for these costs now plus we are paying for free tax benefits for insurance companies. Wake up and dont be stupid we need health care not a pay thru the nose system.

Yeah, I'd like in my insurance premiums to go down, and my co-pays to go down. But I'd like for our doctor's to be treated better than they have been--malpractice insurance is through the roof and there is no relief in sight.

We DON'T need the government dictating to us about our health care--the next thing you know, they will come and tell us which houses we HAVE to live in, what plants we HAVE to grow in our gardens, which kinds of pets we HAVE to have, etc.

They are already trying to tell everyone what types of cars we have to drive.

President Obama didn't even visit Oklahoma on the campaing trail, so how can he tell us what we want or need?

Maybe we need to put a stop to all these ambulance chasing lawyers who cause the rates of health insurance to go up--I don't mean legitimate lawyers-I mean the ones who adversize on T.V. to drum up business

We need Universal Healthcare. It's way overdue in this country. Obama was elected to see that happen. Thank God we are finally doing what is right in America!

What it all comes down to is a President and Congress that wants to keep thier insurance with us paying for it and put us on an idiotic, assinine socialized medicine program that foots to bill for a bunch of illigal taco benders. It's time to take this country back and demand that the President and Congress get the same plan we get and nothing better and they have to pay for their own.

Politicians are a curse on the land and need to be treated as such. There ain't a decent President, Senator or Congressman amoungst them. I, for one, and sick and tired of the assholes and I call them regularly and tell them that.

Healthcare in general is a joke, I have worked in the industry for quite some time now, be it a hospital, a doctor's office or an insurance company and I can tell you that the current system is broken. When I can go to my Dr and get 3 months worth of samples that are all packaged in 1 weeks supplies with literature, and maybe even a prize that is just wrong. But when I got to purchase prescription I get nailed 90 a month for the same thing I start to see where the profits are going, the system is corrupt, insurance companies are corrupt and I say go for it, put them all out of business. I would rather have a government run option that sucks than a private run options that operates on an I'll scratch your back so long as you scratch mine. Why else would an insurance company have any say in who you see?

Not all of us are against Universal Healthcare. I'm highly in favor of it.

In regards to secession, speaking of it is tantamount to treason. I am making a list of treasonous people in this state that I plan to send to the Department of Homeland Security.

Teasly McBagger you have obviously never lived in a country with socialized medicine. If you are unfortunate enough to contract a serious disease or suffer a serious traumatic injury guess what you are going to die. I have lived in a country with socialized medicine and their system was one of the better ones, but they still had to wait weeks and possibly months for diagnostic procedures. The medicines that they were prescribed would not exist had it not been for American research and development. I also worked for the US government and I don't want them involved in anything as complex as medical care. They will screw it up just like everything else.

New Health care plan ! The billion dollar global corporations are behind it 100%. They won't have to pay anything. We will all be bum rushed by illegals, like they did in California. Ask a doctor how they feel about it, they are very angry. Nobody will want to shell out 7 years of $$$$$ for the education. The quality will diminish. Lets not mention the 30 new (fully staffed) gov't depts added to the plan. I can see it now. They will be flying jets all over the world, to have their important meetings at posh resorts. Yee haw!!! America = once was! Our founding fathers didn't have billion $ corporations lining their pockets (through lobbyists) to bribe them. If we don't eliminate all lobbyists immediately, you will not want to live here in the future. America is sytematically being turned into ghettos. How come they never mention the true problems with our existing health care systems? They are overloaded with illegals & gov't assisted freeloaders.

What communist/socialist country are you from?! There is NOT one care system run by any government that provides better health care than ours. That's why many come from around the world for care in the US. I know from a nurse friend from the UK how BAD it really is there! Just read the London news sometime and you would know how awful the mistakes and lack of care is in the UK. The reason health care is so expensive now is that there are already a bunch of FREELOADER idiots like you NOT paying their bills! The average hospital only gets paid by about 10% of the people that it takes care of. Those of us that do pay, have to cover the costs of all you liberal socialists who DON'T. Also, when American is comprised of a majority of FAT,LAZY people like you who want a free ride, our health care goes up because you don't take care of yourselves. You don't have to be model thin, but weighing more than my cows is ridiculous! It runs up everyone's costs, and new studies prove that obesity is costing us taxpayers FAR more than previously tho't. With 40% of US citizens already not paying taxes, the rest of us are being taxed to death. Why don't you liberal Democrats go sponge off someone else, I'm sick of carrying a lot of deadbeats who do NOT take responsibility for themselves! Our founding fathers did NOT promise a freeride! They promised to freedom to be able to work hard and keep what you earned. Read you history some time!

Town hall meeting...what a joke! Anyone with a brain already knows that is double-talk for a republican anti-Obama rally.

Colburn has turned out to be just another "Do It My Way Or Else You Are Evil" republican. Nothing in his creed about "for the people". He should be ashamed of himself but he is too caught up in his career to see it.

They are doing absolutly nothing but trying to scare everyone about the government giving us the OPTION of Universal Heathcare. Using such a disgusting tactic against their own people is criminal.

It is like the republicans have forgotten that Obama was voted in because Americans wanted (and need) change. We are sick and tired of the same-old-same-old political bull.

I was a proud republican for all of my 50 years until a couple of years back. Now I consider myself American...neither republican nor democrat. My vote from here on out will go to America not a party.

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Pisces

Family, friends and in-laws are all hard to please. It is better to please yourself for once, dear Pisces, than to bang your head against a wall. You need to relax and get in touch with your own feelings. Do not hesitate to speak up for someone you care about. Someone may try to curtail your freedom. Set them straight and do not give in.
