WRBI stated it was rumors. They were trying to get away from all of the traffic, and left at different times, and went separate directions. I was at first told they were playing chicken, and then found out it is all rumors.

They may have not left the church with intentions of racing but when they saw each other they were speeding to see who could get thru the intersection first. Both were speeding. Neither one attempted to stop. Coincidence? I don't think so. Very sad but wake up people......racing, stop sign chicken, 3 teens are dead, someone has to be responsible or no one learns a damn thing. End of story.

Like everyone else, I've seen the pictures on TV and in the newspapers. To me, it looked like the accident happened in an open area where there was no obstruction of view from any direction. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but all I saw were open fields. If both vehicles left the same place at the same time and the drivers knew their destination was the same place, why couldn't they have seen across the fields and know that the other vehicle was approaching? Wouldn't each driver have recognized the other vehicle as being their classmates? Didn't we hear that there were no skid marks?...no attempt by either driver to stop? I think most people want to believe they were not racing or playing "chicken", but what logical reason is there for them to have crashed the way they did? It's very sad that those young lives were taken, but in my opinion, it was an error in judgment, and it cost three young people their lives...how sad!

I have been thinking the same thing Logic. It is such a tragedy, but I'm tired of our small communities that keep covering up and sugar coating the truth.

Per channel 8 news, there will be charges filed. They say the kids were racing & one of the drivers was previously sited for speeding. Sad case but justice should be served for those that lost their lives

What is sad is that justice was served on one of the drivers and it was the harshest justice possible. The others killed were innocent victims. It is so sad. I feel sorry for all involved. They were being teens, made a stupid decision. Obviously they could never have imagined the consequences for that stupid decision. There are just no winners in this situation at all, just despair for all involved.

My heart hurts for all the families.

That's very sad that they are punishing the kids. They all made the decision. Just because he was lucky enough to live doesn't mean he didnt learn or wasnt already punished. He's going to have to live with what he did for life.. The loss of his friends.. The guilt of being sole survivor...witnessing something so horrific. He got a second chance at life n they're taking it away. It's pretty safe to say hell never do this again. I know parents may or may not want "justice" done but its not like their child didnt do anything wrong and could have very easily been the one who survived and if that happened they would be the ones saying their kids been through enough. I hope they aren't too hard on him. My prayers to anyone and everyone involved.

No one made the decision to die that day. Tommy Crawford made the decision to speed up and try to pull a ballsy move & beat someone to the stop sign that had NO IDEA he was doing that. Curtis & Jacob's vehicle was trveling 26 mpg, Tommy was doing almost 90. Put his arm up to shield his passenger yet did NOT BRAKE. HE KNEW SOMEONE WOULD GET HURT AND DIDNT CARE!!!!!!!!!! I WONDER HOW THE DECEASEDS PARENTS FELT WATCHING HIM WALK INTO PROM AND THEIR CHILDREN ARE IN THE GROUND?!

How many of you can even say you know these kids? I knew two of the deceased, hell I was texting her the week before. She meant so much to me and you guys are just horrible to all of them. They were/are kids that made a mistake.... it cost 3 lives and affected a very tight community. Looking at their Facebooks even today, you can see the love that is still felt towards them.... no hate, or malice... just love :)

I am sure that Tommy woke up that day and said, "oh let me go kill three people." You judgemental people are so ignorant. If you knew him at all, which you obviously do not, you would know that he is a kind hearted-loving-very sensitive kid. What if this was your kid; one who made a mistake? Would you want people calling him a murderer? The fact is, neither vehicle stopped, it was proven that the other truck was going faster than 25mph. It was also proven that Tommy was not going 90 either. Get the facts straight. Quit blowing them out of proportion just to make it seem like the other driver was not at fault. Too many people in denial. Both vehicles were to blame, neither vehicles slowed down; so now what? Yes Tommy had been cited for speeding in the past. What teenage kid does not speed? If it was my kid who was killed in the accident, I can only hope and pray that God would give me the ability to forgive who I need to forgive. All the bitterness that you are obviously harbouring is making you extremely ugly. I think you are in some serious denial; and what is he supposed to do? Not go anywhere or do anything? I understand you are hurting but just imagine how he feels.

Forgive all you want, he is still alive and hasnt paid for what he did! He gets to live, walk around, be with family. The other three doesnt! He needs to learn amd pay for what he did! Kids think they can be careless and not be responsible. He is one of them. He is still being wild even after killing people!
Do you even know this kid at all? He works, farms, and does not even hardly going anywhere. I am not sure he even has friends anymore. Are you delusional? He is paying every single day for what happened. Just as if the other kids were alive; they would be paying too. BOTH VEHICLES WERE AT FAULT!! COME ON PEOPLE!! Who are you to judge? are you God? You know what is going to happen? One of these days you will be slapped upside the head and you will have your awakening. I am sorry that those lives were taken, but the reality of the matter is, it could just have easily been the other kids alive and him dead. Then they would have been at fault. I mean come on, kids are kids. They do stupid stuff. I could understand if this kid was doing drugs, drinking alcohol, or under the influence in some manner. This was a kid who had been cited for one traffic violation. Not a child molestor or a murderer. Learn how to forgive, not want to get revenge. You are harboring bitterness. Get over yourself. Do you ever text and drive? Do you ever talk on your phone while driving? Do you ever change the radio station? I am sure you have been guilty of all of these things. So if your kids text and drive and hit someone are you going to consider them a murderer? Come on, grow up, this could have easily been your kid? But I guess you would not consider your kid a murderer right? You think he is so lucky to be walking around and living life. Those three kids are in a better place, a much better place than we are in. This kid is not a murderer, and I know him very well, see him a couple of times a week, he is not wild!
