I hope the car is okay and it can be fixed cheaply, we are spending too much money on the police cars.

Let's not rule out drugs or alcohol...maybe it wasn't completely the weather causing the police officer to crash.
Do you have proof that he was under the influence? Do you post that drivel just to see what kind of reaction you will receive? Please share with us your insights!

While i hate to accuse anyone the roads are not bad right now. Although they may suspect the weather is at fault they should still look at all possible reason. Maloney is right they should rule out drugs and alcohol before saying it was the weather.

Weather is a factor in anything. Regardless of how good you drive nobody is perfect. I highly doubt drugs and alcohol were a factor. Officers have more sense and self dignity than that. Its called Ethics and doing what is right....Hope he has a healthy recovery and hope the other 4 do as well.

How come it is wearher related when it is a police officer and SPEED related when it is everyone else?

He was going too fast for the road conditions. Period!

Wow, you people are sad. The roads were really bad in that vicinity but were fine five miles away, but he probably did make a mistake. The funny thing is he had just helped other people in a wreck and was heading to another wreck to help more people. Thanks for caring about Clifton and the other injured people. Sometimes people like you make it hard to go to work.

You have to understand some of the people that post here. They are so perfect that they never make mistakes on the road and then make baseless accusations. Then again some are just plain cop haters who allow no reason to enter their feeble brains! Every time an officer is involved in something like that the haters come out of the wood work!

the fact of the matter is if it was you or I they would test us for drugs and alcohol I just wonder if they did him regardless of the weather? Lets be fair, he injured 4 people

ok the officer may have drove to fast.?? If it was ny family that he was heading to help, I would EXPECT him to get there fast. Police (and ISP) are trained to drive fast and respond in a quick manner. I am sure that all would agree that we are ALL human and human makes mistakes. Yes if he was only going 20mph he may not have crashed. But...do you want him to come to your rescue at 20mph??

Weather doesn't cause accidents. Morons driving poorly in weather does.
The guy is supposed to be out protecting and serving but can't drive at a safe rate of speed for the conditions? There is a ticket for that.
Learn to drive, don't blame mother nature for morons.
Next time you are in a dire predicament, don't call a "moron of a cop", call a felon or a thug. Persons who say the sort of thing you stste are the first to scream for the Police and then bellyache about them if the situation isn't resolved the way they think it should have been, legal and correct or not.

Sure, it's never the fault of the cops. Did they test his blood for booze and drugs ? And before you lemmings balk at the suggestion, it wouldn't be the first time. And that is the first thing they would do to anyone who don't have an inside track with the cops

HAHAHAHAHAHA...more sense and self-dignity?!? Wow...you must be ignorant...police officers with ethics do exist...but they're few and far between. Many officers use drugs and alcohol irresponsibly...happy birthday, since you must have just been born yesterday.
