Horse killed in crash with car

A driver in Brookville is recovering from a crash that killed a horse. The woman driver says she swerved on Diamond Mill Road near U.S. 40 to avoid hitting a horse, only to hit another one.

Why in the world would the woman be sited for the crash? It is the responsibility of the owners of the horses to make sure they are contained. They are they ones whom should pay for the repairs of that woman's vehicle.

I agree with you. The State of Ohio has a law that all "farm" animals are to be contained on the owners property by fence or structure and not permitted to roam free.

The State of Ohio also has a law that states all owners of "dogs" are to have their pets confined to their property either by a fence or on a lead.

That we know doesn't happen either.
