Turning stone is a joke. Working for them is even worse. Your treated like you don't know anything even if worked here multiple years. Management is a joke and think they are better then everyone else. Employees are under appreciated and are expected to do half ass jobs. What makes sense to normal people doesn't even come close to how things are run around here. I can go on and on but, not enough time.

I can go on for days about how horribly your treated as an employee! I have been degraded beyond belief! No raises, constant harassing by hypocritical management, no storage supplies or space to get work done, and to top it all off you might not get a break and have to wait hours to use the bathroom!

Oh! An no matter how nice and helpful we are to our "guests" they swear, growl and throw things at us if they don't get their way! The management will always be on their side no matter what. Constant revolving door of employees because of this.

Wow don't know where you work at...but sounds like you have it soooooo bad! Why don't u just quit. I too work for the casino.I love it there.been working there for five years now.they are one of the only places in cny that you can actually feel secure at.I know my job will be there tomorrow. They are a growing company that actually offers jobs!! they have over 5000 employees and growing!!!!!! Your always gonna have its ups and downs with any job! I'm not saying they are perfect but they do give us good health insurance...Christmas party's! Bonuses! N recently a pay raise! Plus many more extras! Come on now how many ppl you know with jobs elsewhere offer all those things! Sure ur gonna get the negative customers! They want what they pay for! The casino has high expectations as they should! Maybe that's why the are so successful! Some just can't hack it! I could go on and on! Blah!

I agree Turning Stone is a terrible place to work, I worked there for over 3 years in the same department and got treated like dirt, they have no respect for their employees. I don't know a single person who actually enjoys working for them. They over work you and demand unrealistic things from you. This is the first holiday season that I will actually be able to enjoy time with my family and not have to worry about going Into work on Christmas or thanksgiving and working a double when there aren't even any guests. I also could go on and on and have many cases where they could've gotten in serious legal trouble for stunts they have pulled but I won't get Into that.

I can't quit although I would like to! I am responsible and have bills to pay, especially my student loans for my bachelors... All private school! You can have it so much better. Most places give you a raise based on your performance, not a few cents every four years! Unfortunately it's a reflection of CNY if this I the best we can get. There is no sense of security - they can terminate your employment at any time. And like they have told me, "you don't work in New York State," so good luck with employee rights!

I've worked at Turning Stone for over 10 years. It is a great place to work and I am very happy. Turning Stone has given me the opportunity to work and raise a family where I grew up. If you are not happy go work some where else. Probably can't because there are no other jobs in the area that are hiring. Let alone giving Christmas bonuses every year, cost of living raises, employee parties, etc. If you're not happy with your life do something about it rather then venting BS on this site.

No, it isn't anything like that, idiot. It's like if your great great great grandfather was forced out of his home and off his land, then the government that was responsible signed a contract with you promising that you or your descendants would never have to pay taxes for any of the land you owned in the future. Sound like something you would fight for? Nah, probably not.

I KNOW that 2 supervisors lied to me about my job training period and a 3rd one with more seniority fired me telling me that I was not supposed to do what the other 2 supervisors instructed me -- many many times -- to do. I wish that 3-5 "supervisors" in one department would get a single goal and work with employees with one mind and one attitude rather than supervisor egos competing with each other. I was treating TSC guests with outstanding service and was praised by many guests for it. That did not matter in the end. What mattered was other people in CYA mode and I paid the price for it. I am a good hard worker and respect people and did nothing wrong, and that supervisor who fired me knows that. Remember that as they are The Nation, you have little legal recourse against them when they fire you after you have spoiled their guests with excellent service, obeyed all the rules, never missed a scheduled day of work, and were never, ever late for work and always did above and beyond. Just get over it and try to stick with U.S. employers.
