Aguirre officially takes over as Tupelo police chief

Tupelo has a new police chief today, Steven "Bart" Aguirre, an officer who worked his way from patrolman to head of criminal investigations and now leader of the city's department of more than 100 officers.

If protection service was a priority this would be true. Unfortunately that's a facade, if something goes wrong he will make excuses and stare at the floor, I've seen it. He will grow the Government, and make a building his legacy. Not necessarily a bad guy, but make no mistake, the general public comes secondary to the Department. Not the best choice, but not the worst, he's been a good front man for a notoriously shady Department. This not an opinion.

You are right it will not, Aguirre should be under the jail for the crimes he's helped covered up, but Tupelo has a history of coverups that promote, now doesn't it?
