This is pretty sad. I wonder how much under the influence she was, residing over so many court cases. Gotta be quite embarrassing for Saint Lucie County.

So she abuses legal drugs (xanax, alcohol) engangers people's lives by driving a vehicle while impaired, and then considers herself fit to sit in judgement of "drug" offenders. If this woman had a shred of integrity, she would step down from the bench immediately. But she does not have any integrity so the war on drugs continues

I am surprised that this thread has not been deleted. This crap pile's mugshot is not posted, no comments are allowed on news story blogs, all three squad car camera's were "broken" on the scene when she was arrested. This sack of dung must be made to pay as she would make one of her victims pay in court.

Judge Nelson is entitled to a fair trial.
However, most of the folks in Staint Lucie County and in the State of Florida are not getting a fair trial. Most of the Judges are not fair, not compasionate, and do not show the slightest bit of mercy. The jail in Saint Lucie County is full, 1,300 inmates. The Jail system in Florida is the third largest in the country. They have more people incarcerated than New York State. Now that does not mean we have more bad people. On the contrary.
They put people in jail, because their ankle bracelet, that the county put on them is defective, for over 150days. Get this, I understand a fellow has been in there since the end of October for throwing palm frons in a lot next to where he was working! This fellow must be a real threat to society. Meanwhile we the tax payers are paying big bucks to support them. I feel the Justice system needs an overhaul. We need to VOTE these People OUT. That means the States Attorneys, The Judges, the Sheriff, and the Public Defender who charges for her services. We need to start over again and maybe we can get real Justice. Not bullies, and SS squads, knocking down our doors in the middle of the night, and going thru our drawers looking for anything they can to stick it to us.(they found nothing) Or harrashing our children out on the street for just Playing basket ball, by asking them for Idenification??? The lists go on and on. Injustice is going on a rampage. Like the young lady who found out her roommate was into drugs she was scared, she called the shariff two times because she was scared,on the second call the officer threatened her, telling her if she called one more time, he would arrest her. Two weeks later, her roommate, was arrested, she had been riding around in a stolen car, for months. The officer, didn't even notice, or didn't care. She never got an apology. VOTE THEM OUT. All who care, for you may be next.

Then they want to know about peoples mental health. Why if you have one I dont need to know who caused they they did and so did the abuser. As for public defender try to get them to look up the druggie son or the history of violence by his dad good luck they are working for the state. We call them public predenders they only help their wallets. HIS son will go to jail ha ha. 5 to 10 lucky him he did that crime in ct he also failed 2 drugs test on fla probation federal and they did nothing sell guns to get drugs thats nothing get in family spat be a felon.I dont pay my mortgage forclose to heck with fla only druggies will be here the houses go cheap when you let the bank eat it guess who buys it losers its all they can afford.Mybe she should go to mental health court for 4 years so new horizions can stay in bussiness they run it to get in peoples wallets the scam state that is what fla is called they live up to their name.

Dear psl res
Don't you wonder why the press is not investagating, more of this abuse we have in this county and State? I was sitting in court the other day and you would find it shocking. The number of people in court at $50.00 per person in court cost. The number of cases exceeded 70 the Judge was cranky and out of sorts and as the time went by, the folks in his court got worse and worse punishment. Two people, before he took a break got sent to jail this was in misdemeanor court. One was high school age. I thought a minor was to go to kids court. Not treated as an adult. St Lucie Residence need to wake up and do something.

Kathryn Nelson (i won't respect her by calling her a judge) made a pleas bargain with the state for a 6 month license suspension. She refused a sobriety test and the officers had to pry her hands off to get her out of the car as she resisisted arrest.....and she gets 6 month suspended license. The state satutes require 1 year suspension for refusal to submit to sobriety test for all of us peons...but not Nelson. She is able to continue sitting in judgement of other people who take drugs and drink as she did. Injustice at it's worst

Dear Resident of Jacksonville Fl. Thank you for your update. I can not understand how she could go back to her place on the Bench. She, should be so ashamed,of her behavior. She should step down from, the Bench. I am sure she will find someone to chauffeur her around
for 6 months, After all she makes more money, than most of us the PEONS.
Again, I ask where is the press? Where is the Justice? Well, we will see, how much coverage this gets.

Why has the Florida Bar not removed her as a judge? She can break the law and then sit in judgement of people who do the same thing. Our system is broken and one day they are going to push the people too far....

Her mugshot is missing from Florida Mugshots website. Why is this drunk andy different than the other people who are arrested for the same charge?

Kathryn Nelson, you are no better than the citizens that you sit in judgement of

She was set up by a political rival or some other disgruntled person from the political/governmental establishment machinery.

Judges do not normally end up in the back seat(2x4 bench)
of a police car for any reason.

This is and was a set up.

Yes, someone forced those glasses of wine down her throat at dinner. Someone planted the pills in her car. Someone made her argue, hold onto the steering wheel during her attempted removal from the car and fight with the arresting officers. Someone planted the vomit on her blouse. Someone made her refuse the lawful request for a breath analysis.

Kathryn Nelson, you should be looking at your actions instead of coming on her spouting about set ups

I think everybody makes mistakes.everyone deserve a chance. Sometimes we forget what is more important in our lives. Then we make a mistake and we come to a reality on how lucky we are of what we have.
I think leave Judge Nelson do her job.
Sometimes we need a wake up call in our lives.

Excusing a judge who sits in judgement of other for violating the very laws that she swore to uphold is like excusing a doctor for intentionally or recklessly hurting or maiming someone after taking thier hippocratic oath-utter nonesense!

What happens when a police officer breaks the law? They are fired.
What about a nurse who is arrested-most are terminated. But let a judge or politician get busted-they are exempt from the very laws they make and supposedly uphold. Are judges or politicians required to take piss tests? NO! They enforce and make these laws. Whats good for the goose is good for the gander

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Keep a pinch of salt handy today because not everything you hear will be the gospel truth. Someone might have manipulated the facts to make them sound more acceptable, or they may have got carried away and forgotten to tell you something rather vital. Try to keep misunderstandings to a minimum by being as straightforward and honest as possible, and by not simply assuming that people know what you're talking about and therefore not bothering to explain properly.
